According to Android Authority , Android 12 will bring a new wallpaper-based theme system, which can greatly improve the appearance of the Android system. It is reported that this new wallpaper theme system of Android 12 can allow the Android system to automatically change the overall visual scheme according to the main color of the wallpaper.

Android12's theme system is nicknamed "Monet". Its main feature is that it can automatically set the system theme according to the main color of the wallpaper. If you set a purple paint wallpaper, the notification panel, settings, and lock screen will be dyed purple. If you switch to an orange spot wallpaper, it will change to a peach-yellow theme layout.

Many Pixel devices have already tried it in advance, and they all said that with this feature, the appearance of the new system has been greatly improved.

Previous information also showed that the Android 12 update will include a new notification panel UI with a light beige background. Relative to the transparent background of the current UI, the notification panel will be opaque and will include privacy indicators for the camera and microphone, as well as the ability to switch time zones on notifications and toggle rounded corners.
