The number of mobile Internet users in my country reached 986 million, with annual access traffic reaching 165.6 billion GB

As smartphone prices drop and mobile Internet becomes more popular, the number of mobile Internet users in my country is increasing. According to Xinhua News Agency, the Statistical Bulletin on National Economic and Social Development in 2020 released by the National Bureau of Statistics on the 28th showed that at the end of the year, the number of Internet users was 989 million, of which 986 million were mobile Internet users. In 2020, the access traffic of mobile Internet users was 165.6 billion GB, a year-on-year increase of 35.7%.

Previously, the "47th Statistical Report on the Development of China's Internet" released by the China Internet Network Information Center showed that in the age structure of netizens, netizens aged 30-39 accounted for the highest proportion, reaching 20.5%; followed by netizens aged 40-49, accounting for 18.8%; netizens aged 20-29 accounted for 17.8%; netizens aged 60 and above accounted for 11.2%.

In the monthly income structure of netizens, 10% of netizens have no income, 19.6% of netizens have an income between 3,001 and 5,000 yuan, and only 30% of netizens have a monthly income of more than 5,000 yuan.

In addition, other data worthy of attention include: in terms of network coverage, the "last mile" of communication in poverty-stricken areas has been opened up. As of November 2020, the proportion of poor villages with fiber optic access reached 98%; as of December 2020, the scale of online education and online medical users in my country was 342 million and 215 million, respectively, accounting for 34.6% and 21.7% of the total netizens; as of December 2020, the scale of online payment users in my country reached 854 million, an increase of 86.36 million from March 2020, accounting for 86.4% of the total netizens.

According to the analysis of the Prospective Industry Research Institute, at the end of 2020, the mobile application security big data platform included a total of 3,307,221 Android applications, 2,101,025 iOS applications, 5,197,144 WeChat public accounts, and 643,372 WeChat applets. Analyzing Android applications, 336,104 new Android applications were discovered nationwide in 2020, an annual increase of 11.31%.
