How to identify pharmaceutical advertisements?

Drug promotion activities can be identified as drug advertising . This involves what is drug advertising and what does drug advertising cover?

According to Article 2 of the Drug Advertisement Review Measures: "Any advertisement published in any media or in any form that contains the drug name, drug indications (functions and indications) or other content related to the drug is a drug advertisement and shall be reviewed in accordance with these Measures."

Drug publicity can be considered as drug advertising as long as it includes the following information:

(1) Information published in various media or in various forms;

(2) The information includes: drug name, drug indications (main functions) or other content related to the drug.

If a drug advertisement is to be officially released, it must be reviewed. However, drug advertisements in the following two situations do not need to be reviewed:

(1) For over-the-counter drugs, only the drug name (including the generic name and trade name) is advertised.

(2) For prescription drugs, only the drug name (including the generic name and trade name) shall be advertised in designated medical and pharmaceutical professional journals.

Therefore, over-the-counter drugs that only promote the drug name, or prescription drugs that only promote the drug name in designated medical and pharmaceutical professional journals, do not need to undergo advertising review. Other advertisements that promote the drug name + the drug's main function are drug advertisements.
