Apple pushes the first public beta update of iOS/iPadOS 15

July 1 news Apple today released the first Beta versions of iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 to public testers, allowing non-developers to download and test iOS 15 updates.

iOS 15 makes FaceTime video calling more natural, introduces SharePlay sharing experiences, manages notifications in new ways to help users stay focused, and gets you more intelligently informed through photos and search.

The Maps app introduces beautiful new ways to explore the world, the redesigned Weather app displays data in full screen mode and with more graphics, the Wallet app adds support for home keys and ID, and Safari's new tab bar design and tab groups further simplify the online experience.

iOS 15 also includes new privacy controls for Siri, Mail, and other aspects of the system to further protect user information. For other updates, please see the related reading list at the end of the article.
