The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology reported that 210 apps had not completed rectification: Sohu, Sogou, and 360 were among them

On August 25, after removing 62 apps that failed to complete rectification as scheduled, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued a notification on apps that infringe on user rights (9th batch in 2021, 18th batch in total).

As of now, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has found that there are still 210 apps that have not completed rectification as required. Among them, the apps with higher popularity and more installed users include Sohu News, Love Wallpaper, Kuaiya, Sogou Search, 360 Security Cloud Disk, Flush Stock Account Opening, and Kaijuan Youyi.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology emphasized that the above-mentioned apps should complete rectification and implementation work before September 1 in accordance with the requirements of the relevant Communications Administration Bureau. If rectification is not made within the deadline, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will organize relevant disposal work in accordance with laws and regulations.
