Just recently, data research organization CINNO Research released a report on "Sales of Branded Smartphones in the Chinese Market in July 2021". Let's take a look at it together.

As shown in the figure below, we can clearly see that in the domestic smartphone market in July, OPPO's monthly sales were 5.6 million units, ranking first; vivo's monthly sales were 5.3 million units, ranking second; Honor's monthly sales were 4 million units, ranking third; Xiaomi's monthly sales were 3.9 million units, ranking fourth; Apple's monthly sales were 3 million units, ranking fifth.

According to the data released by CINNO Research, OPPO and vivo, which have many and powerful offline stores and channels in my country's smartphone market, have very strong and close monthly sales. The surprising one is Honor. Those who know Honor's situation in the first half of this year know that the Honor brand fell into a huge predicament after independence, and its market share once fell to about 5%. So, what is the reason for Honor's outstanding performance in the domestic market in July?

The main reason is that many domestic brands did not release new phones in July, and the Honor 50 series, which was released in mid-June and launched in mid-July, became Honor's "trump card". Although the configuration of this series of models is not top-notch, it has won the love of many consumers with its excellent appearance design.

In addition, Xiaomi's performance in July seems to be unsatisfactory. I personally think the reason is that during the "618" period, many consumers enjoyed a variety of discounts and offers, and had already bought their favorite products, so they had no need to change their phones. On the other hand, the MIUI 12.5 system turmoil is still there, affecting many users' choices when changing phones.
