1. Poor integrity

White itself looks good, but the phone screen is black when it is off, so the border appears very thick. If you turn on the screen, there will be a black line between the white border and the screen, which looks uncomfortable.

2. White is not good for special-shaped screens

Another reason why mobile phones used to have more white panels was that mobile phones had not yet entered the era of full-screen phones, and there were not so many special-shaped screens such as bangs screens and punch-hole screens. Black panels can cover these special-shaped areas well, while white will highlight them. Just imagine how ugly white panels would look on these special-shaped screens today.

3. White has poor durability

Another problem with white panels is that they magnify flaws. Small bumps and dust accumulation are particularly noticeable, and white tends to turn yellow over time, affecting the appearance. In order to ensure that the phone does not age in appearance after long-term use, using a black panel is the best choice.
