WeChat "Life-saving SMS": Video 120 system will be officially launched in Chongqing

In the medical field, there is a saying called "golden 4 minutes".

Four minutes after cardiac arrest, brain cells will be irreversibly damaged. If cardiac arrest lasts for more than 10 minutes, even if the patient is rescued, he or she may be brain dead.

This is what we call "sudden death".

According to WeChat Pai’s official introduction, in my country’s first-tier cities, the average time for an ambulance to arrive is 11 minutes. In other words, if no one performs CPR on the patient before the ambulance arrives, most patients will lose the best chance for rescue.

At the end of 2020, Chongqing 120 Emergency Center began to use a simple mini-program open capability - the ability to generate mini-program scheme links, to better solve this problem.

Generating a mini program scheme link, in simple terms, is about realizing the ability to open the mini program in scenarios such as text messages.

After receiving the rescue call, the 120 center can send a text message link to the user, call up WeChat for two-way video, and use video to guide on-site self-rescue and mutual rescue.

This capability has been in the works for more than two years. In 2018, someone proposed this capability to the WeChat Mini Program team.

Technically, this capability is not difficult to implement, but this simple capability specifically solves the pain points of emergency scenarios: users do not need to remember any mini-program paths, they only need to dial 120, and after receiving the text message, they can directly open the mini-program for video. Emergency personnel can directly guide patients to save themselves without asking multiple times.

Efficient and direct.

The mini program team's judgment on this capability is: this is a life-saving ability that does not require data support and has far greater social significance than the ability itself.

Finally, after multiple internal considerations, this capability was opened and launched at the end of 2020.

The "Yushijiu" video 120 system used by the 120 branch center in Beibei District, Chongqing, was led by the Chongqing Municipal Health Commission and jointly organized and implemented by the Chongqing Emergency Medical Center, Chongqing Telecom, and Chongqing Jishifeijiu Technology Development Co., Ltd.

On January 20, 2022, the "Yushijiu" video 120 system will be officially launched throughout Chongqing.
