iOS 16.5 update push, this feature will be disabled

Judging from the update log provided by Apple, this iOS 16.5 Beta 2 does not bring any new features. It mainly fixes the adaptation issues of Matter accessories. Users who have upgraded to iOS 16.5 Beta 1 can upgrade to the latest version in the software update.

In iOS 16.4, Apple added a new option to the Beta update menu that allows developer program members to enable it directly on their iPhone without having to obtain the installation description file through the web, but ordinary people cannot use the description file to obtain Beta updates.

Some users who upgraded to iOS 16.5 Beta 2 reported that the description file was automatically removed and they could not accept the latest beta system. However, according to the editor's iPhone 14 Pro test, it is still possible to accept the latest beta by installing the iOS 16 beta description file.

This feature added by Apple in iOS 16.4 is not popular with users. Friends who like to try new things are unlikely to use the $99 annual fee to open the developer program. Therefore, Apple is also adding a beta update option for iPhone and other devices.

Now, operating systems including watchOS and macOS can choose whether to receive beta system updates on the system update page.

The official version of iOS 16.4.1 released by Apple last week fixed two vulnerabilities, and the official version of iOS 15.7.1 released this time also fixed these two vulnerabilities for old users.

The IOSurfaceAccelerator vulnerability could allow an application to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges. Apple addressed the out-of-bounds write issue by improving input validation. The WebKit vulnerability could allow maliciously crafted web content to execute code. Apple addressed this issue by improving memory management.
