On June 8, Apple brought a surprise to designers at this week's Worldwide Developers Conference. Apple officially joined the Figma community and released its own design kit, which includes resources for iOS 17 and iPadOS 17. Figma is a popular online design platform that allows designers to easily create, collaborate and share various interfaces and graphics. Apple's Figma design kit covers various components of iOS 17 and iPadOS 17, from alert boxes to widgets. Designers can use these resources to quickly create application interfaces and notification templates that conform to Apple's style. The design kit also provides complete dynamic type charts, system colors, materials, text styles, frosted glass effects, etc. Apple said that this is just the beginning, and in the coming weeks and months, it will continue to add resource libraries for macOS Sonoma, watchOS 10, tvOS 17, and visionOS. This is undoubtedly a valuable tool for designers who create for Apple platforms. They no longer need to re-produce materials themselves, but can directly use the design kits officially provided by Apple. IT Home noticed that Figma has also recently shown its attention to the iPad and launched FigJam software for iPadOS, allowing designers to sketch and whiteboard on the iPad. Figma is also developing a more powerful iPad application to meet more needs of designers. Figma will also host its annual Config conference in San Francisco later this month. It’s a two-day event taking place on June 21-22, with a free way to attend virtually. |
