In the past two days, a piece of news has attracted everyone's attention: On July 12, Zhejiang added one new confirmed case of imported infection from abroad (imported from Ghana). Zheng Moumou, male, 45 years old, doing business in Ghana.

On June 17, he developed symptoms such as fever, cough, chest tightness, and shortness of breath.

On July 10, he chartered a flight back to China alone. Relevant staff had taken protective measures during the journey and there were no close contacts in the country.

This "Zheng XX" is from Wenling, Taizhou.

“Zheng Moumou” is the president of the China-Canada Trade Chamber of Commerce. This afternoon, the reporter contacted his partner, Mr. Jiang. It was he who helped Mr. Zheng arrange a flight back to China.

Mr. Jiang introduced that they came to Africa to explore the market in 2004 and established trading companies in many countries in West Africa. He is responsible for domestic procurement, basically in the country, usually in Wenling. Mr. Zheng is in charge of sales and lives in Accra, the capital of Ghana.

Ghana, located on the west coast of Africa, is a small country with a population of less than 30 million. This country is relatively poor, with a per capita GDP of just over $1,000. More than 60 years ago, Ghana was called the "Gold Coast" because of its abundant gold.

On the morning of June 17, Mr. Zheng participated in a donation event in the local area. The event was not large in scale, with only dozens of people participating, but the standard was quite high. A deputy minister of the Ghanaian Ministry of Health also participated. That afternoon, Mr. Zheng developed symptoms such as fever, cough, chest tightness, and shortness of breath.

Feeling something was wrong, he immediately went to the hospital for a coronavirus nucleic acid test, which turned out to be positive.

The reporter learned that in Ghana, one cannot get a coronavirus nucleic acid test whenever one wants. One needs to make an appointment and queue up. However, because he is an international friendly person, he received preferential treatment and could be tested whenever he wanted. The testing fee is more than 200 yuan per time, while the average monthly salary of local people is only about 700 yuan.
