It is reported that the man's name is Suwati, a Palestinian youth from Hebron Province in the West Bank. A few weeks ago, Suwati’s mother was infected with COVID-19 and was seriously ill. He had no choice but to climb up the outer wall to the window of the intensive care unit of Hebron Provincial Hospital every night and sit outside the window to visit his mother and say goodbye to her.

Reports said that Suwati sat outside the window and stared at his mother, and his 73-year-old mother passed away shortly after seeing her youngest son through the window.

"I sat helplessly outside the intensive care unit window and watched her last moments," Al Suwati was quoted as saying by the Arab Post.

The photo was first shared on social media on the 19th by Mohamad Safa, a UN representative and CEO of the non-profit organization Patriotic Vision, according to reports.
