Some estimates of the Dreadnoughtus suggest that this dinosaur weighed as much as an airplane.
The Dreadnought is another large titanosaur from Argentina. It lived during the same period as the Puertaosaurus.
The extreme mass of this dinosaur is somewhat controversial, as the animal's length may be similar to that of the Diplodocus, which weighed only 15 tons.
Initial estimates put the Dreadnought at over 59 tons, exceeding the weight of a Boeing 737. Subsequent calculations based on body volume models rather than leg bone circumference reduced the animal's weight to 22 tons. Other estimates place it somewhere in between.
