Triceratops is one of the most famous dinosaurs in the world, known for its parrot-like beak, three facial horns, and large folds at the base of its skull. This dinosaur lived during the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 68-66 million years ago.

It was the largest ceratopsian dinosaur, about twice the length and weight of an African elephant.

Large folds are visible in all ceratopsians. The skull of Pentacera, including the folds, may have exceeded two meters in length. Some scientists believe that, in their daily lives, the folds of ceratopsians may have been multicolored, used to attract mates.
