At the beginning of the Jurassic period, many types of dinosaurs lived on various continents of the earth. Because these dinosaurs looked very similar in different places, they were called the Tethys Sea dinosaur fauna.

Yunnan Dragon
Among the dinosaur fauna of the Tethys Sea was a group of ancient dinosaurs named after its discovery site in Yunnan Province, my country. These were Paleopod dinosaurs that appeared at the very beginning of the Jurassic period.
The Yunnanosaurus had a long neck, walked on four legs, and was herbivorous. Surprisingly, its teeth were very unusual; as a Paleopod, its teeth resembled those of a sauropod, the Brachiosaurus. The Yunnanosaurus had over 60 teeth, which not only resembled sauropod teeth in shape but also in the way they were worn down. This could be one piece of evidence suggesting that sauropods originated from Paleopods.
