On April 26, 2023, the female giant panda "Ya Ya," who had spent 10 years in the United States, departed from the Memphis Zoo in Tennessee to return to China, landing in Shanghai. I am delighted to hear this good news! Giant pandas are China's national treasure, and they are beloved and admired worldwide. As far as I know, Ya Ya received her breeding license in 2023, marking the first time a panda has left the United States to return to China since 1987. This signifies a new step forward in the exchange and cooperation between China and the United States in the protection of giant pandas.
The return of giant panda Ya Ya to China will also promote cooperation and exchanges between China and the United States in the field of ecological environment, and jointly create a better home for the Earth.
