On Xiaohongshu, when it comes to the topic of monetization, there are generally two ways. One is to use the Xiaohongshu platform to direct traffic to one's own WeChat account, official account or store, and then sell products and services to realize cash; the other is to rely on Xiaohongshu and use the influence of the account on the platform to realize traffic monetization. For example, a blogger helps a brand to promote its products on Xiaohongshu, or helps a brand to sell its products through live streaming (live streaming with goods).

For most Xiaohongshu bloggers, the second monetization method is obviously more applicable. Among them, since many Xiaohongshu bloggers have just started live streaming, they are not very familiar with live streaming sales. 01 How to accept promotion?

For Xiaohongshu bloggers, how can they get promotion? There are generally two ways: official and unofficial.

1) Official channels

If you go through the official channel, the first thing that comes to mind is of course the various Xiaohongshu MCN agencies on the market.

The relationship between bloggers and MCNs is more like that between artists and agencies. MCNs are responsible for receiving promotion invitations from various brands and then distributing them to their signed bloggers. Bloggers no longer need to seek cooperation from brands. They just need to pay more attention to the various promotional messages issued by MCN, choose the one that suits them, and apply for orders when they meet the requirements.

The other is the brand cooperation platform officially launched by Xiaohongshu last year.

Creators can upload their own promotional quotations, view operational data, and communicate directly with brands on this platform without going through intermediaries. However, the prerequisite is to meet the Xiaohongshu brand partner standards, that is: the number of fans must be more than 5,000, and there must be more than 10 notes with 2,000+ reads in the past six months.

Of course, for the above two methods, institutions and platforms will charge a certain service fee. But correspondingly, the authenticity of the promotion and the collection of subsequent fees will be more guaranteed.

2) Unofficial channels

There are generally three types of unofficial channels for Xiaohongshu to promote:

① Crab Notice

It is similar to a task publishing and receiving platform and is very easy to use.

It not only supports KOLs to take orders, but also supports merchants to post recruitment advertisements. However, there are good and bad ones, so you need to make your own judgment. Secondly, the prices are relatively low.

② Announcement to the community

In some announcement groups, the group owner or members will send out a link to a form for recruiting talents. All you have to do is fill out the form and wait for contact. However, there will be no feedback if you do not comply with the regulations (similar to submitting a resume), so it is not very convenient to use.

Moreover, groups are not publicly searchable, and the cost of finding a suitable announcement group is relatively high, and the quality is very limited.

③ Personal contact information

Leaving contact information on the personal profile page of Xiaohongshu, such as Weibo or email , is effective, but because it is passive, the number of contacts is not controllable and is generally small, and the efficiency is very low. However, the success rate of cooperation is generally higher if the contact is targeted.

The above three types can also receive promotion, but compared with official platforms and institutions, they are a mixed bag. The information published has not been verified and its authenticity is questionable, so the blogger needs to make his or her own judgment . Moreover, subsequent salary returns are not guaranteed.

02 How to formulate a promotion quotation?

After understanding the promotion channels, before actually accepting the order, there is another question we have to consider, which is how to formulate our promotion quotation? What kind of promotion price is reasonable?

For unofficial channels, you can make a preliminary judgment on your own quotation based on the following standards.

Generally, a promotional offer of one-tenth of one’s fans is considered high. In addition, the following two factors will also affect the quotation:

① If your data performance is not good, you can reduce it by 20-30%

②If your cover is messy, reduce it by 20-30%

For bloggers who have signed contracts with MCN agencies, they are also required to report their preliminary quotations first, and the agencies will make adjustments based on the bloggers' data.

In addition, for bloggers who accept promotion on brand partner platforms, the official quotation reference standard is based on the average number of readings of personal data pages, with each reading ranging from 0.1 yuan to 1 yuan, and the quotation is formulated in combination with their actual operating conditions and categories.

However, if you want to better monetize your content, I hope all bloggers can consider one thing before accepting promotion, that is, whether the tone of the brand you are contacting matches the tone of the blogger himself.

The prerequisite for a blogger to receive promotion invitations is to have a fan base, and fans become fans because of the blogger’s content. For bloggers, it is easy to get promotion and monetize content. However, what you really need to do is to find one that suits you, fits your account positioning, and integrates and matches your own content. After all, if bloggers just keep accepting promotions, the content of their accounts won’t be improved and their fan base will also be lost.
