Apple Watch is rumored to be released in March, so you can’t count on it for Spring Festival gifts

It has been rumored for a long time that Apple will release the Apple Watch at the beginning of this year. Recently, Mark Gurman, the author of 9to5mac, gave a specific timetable, saying that the Apple Watch will be released in March this year. In mid-February, Apple will provide training for its employees.

According to GURMAN, Apple is about to complete the design of the software part of Apple Watch. As early as November last year, Apple Vice President Angela Ahrendts sent an internal letter, mentioning that Apple Watch will be released in the spring of 2015, after the Chinese New Year.

At present, it seems that as long as the Apple Watch OS update works smoothly, the Apple Watch will complete the plan as Apple expected. Now, Apple is also carrying out a training program for the Apple Watch to familiarize Apple retail store employees with this new product category. Each Apple retail store in the United States will send one or two representatives to the Cupertino or Austin office to play with the Apple Watch first, and the schedule is set for February 9 to 16. The purpose of this trip is to have these representatives familiar with the Apple Watch train other store employees in their respective Apple retail stores before the official release of the Apple Watch.

Apple Watch was released as early as September last year. Since then, Apple has been doing three things: polishing the Apple Watch OS, testing the watch battery on a large scale, and improving the inductive charging technology, after all, the Apple Watch still needs to be charged once a day. Apple Watch uses a wireless charger similar to MagSafe, which can be attached to the back of the Apple Watch through magnetism and then charged by induction.

However, regarding the market expectations for Apple Watch, a report released by research firm EverCore suggests that Apple Watch will be a very good capital story for Apple. Evercore analyst Rob Cihra pointed out that after the release of Apple Watch in March, sales in the next nine months of 2015 will account for 4% of Apple's annual revenue, which will account for 36% of Apple's revenue growth relative to last year.

He expects Apple Watch sales to reach 18.5 million in 2015 and 22.9 million in 2016. He also expects the average selling price of the Apple Watch to reach $500.

Currently, Apple has only announced the price of the original Apple Watch, which is $349. In addition to this model, there are two other models of Apple Watch - the sports version with an aluminum metal shell and the collector's edition made of 18K gold. According to previous predictions, the price of the first Apple Watch is $1,200.

Fred Wilson, who has successfully invested in Zynga and Twitter, gave a pessimistic prediction for this flagship product of Apple to be released in 2015. He believes that Apple Watch will not be as popular as iPod, iPhone and iPad, because not everyone wants to wear a computer on their wrist. Moreover, he believes that for players in the smart hardware market, this year will be a year of burning money, spending time and consuming the energy of the founding team, but will not achieve any effective results.
