Samsung imitates Apple to a new level: copying a Steve Jobs

In the confrontation with Apple, Samsung has always played the role of "imitator" and "follower". Everyone knows that Samsung imitates Apple, but to what extent? - It copied a Steve Jobs among its executives.

Samsung, which has been imitating Apple's software, hardware and marketing methods, has never "stopped moving forward". According to the American technology blog Cult of Mac, Samsung's most recent imitation of Apple was that the company's vice president of marketing George Rozelle imitated Jobs' classic style and posture: black clothes, round mirror, and touching his chin.

George Rozelle's usual look of pairing framed glasses with a business suit has suddenly changed to Jobs' classic black suit and round-framed glasses. In a recent marketing image, he even imitated Jobs' classic movements and postures on the cover of "Steve Jobs' Autobiography", the only "innovation" being that Jobs' left hand touching his chin was replaced by his right hand.

To what extent has Samsung seized every opportunity to imitate Apple? - In every aspect.

Imitating Apple products. Hardware, software, accessories, packaging... the list goes on.

Samsung Galaxy S6 and iPhone

Apple Touch ID and Samsung Pay

Samsung Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6

Imitating the tone and accent of Apple design chief Jony Ive to create a marketing video for the S6Edge.

In a marketing video for S6Edge, Samsung deliberately imitated the iconic "British accent" of Apple's design director Ive to introduce its craftsmanship and design, which was called the "most ridiculous and funniest" marketing video by the media.

What a genius at imitating Apple.

Not only has Samsung tried to set up retail stores that are like Apple's, it has also set up mini counters in Best Buy that are staffed by trained employees to help users solve tablet and phone problems - isn't that the genius of Apple?

Imitating Apple's mobile payment.

After Apple released its mobile payment based on NFC technology, Samsung and PayPal reached a cooperation in order to quickly compete with Apple payment. Some Samsung phones that support fingerprint scanning can support PayPal's fingerprint payment.

Imitating Apple's "ransom note".

At WWDC2015, Tim Cook opened his speech with a story about a "ransom note." He showed a ransom note received by Brandon Moss, which stated that if he wanted to get his 100th home run back, he would have to exchange the items on the list, most of which were Apple products.

After that, Cleveland pitcher Trevor Bauer received a "ransom letter" coveting another ball in his hand, but the products on the list were all replaced with Samsung. The letter read: Hello @Lindor12BC, we have your ball. Although @indians Bullpen got Apple products from Tim Cook, we want a "Samsung family bucket".

If you were to trace Samsung's imitations back to the past, you'd be hard-pressed to count them all. But people are wondering what it's going to do next - should Samsung have George Rozelle imitate Steve Jobs by walking around the office in New Balance sneakers?
