User experience report: It’s not easy to say I love you, Apple Pay binding failed

I was surprised to hear that ApplePay has officially entered China. I have been eager to try it out and want to experience mobile payment other than WeChat and Alipay. It is said that ApplePay can free our bank cards. After binding, there is no need for network support. Just point the phone at the POS machine and use fingerprint recognition to complete the payment. And the operation is very simple. Double-click the home button on the lock screen interface to use it quickly.

However, the author encountered a problem in the first step of the long march: it could not be bound.

Open the wallet app and click "Add credit or debit card". After a long wait, you will be told "Please confirm that you are connected to the Internet."

Well, this way doesn't work. So I switched from WiFi network to 3G mobile network, and it was still the same.

A user said, "Maybe you have disabled the wallet function from connecting to the Internet. Just click - Honeycomb Coal Mobile Data - pull down to the lowest end - Wallet - set to allow, and it will be fine." The author pulled down and saw that his wallet was allowed, so it seems that the problem is not here.

So I restarted my phone, clicked “wallet and Apple Pay” in settings, added a debit card, and wow, it worked this time!

Finally I entered the interface for adding a bank card. I was so excited.

Apple was right. I was overthinking. Just restarting the system will fix it! My blind optimism about the prospects of the revolution made me forget to take screenshots.

This happened so many times that the author was heartbroken.

I collected information online and found that I was not the only one who encountered this situation. The bank responded: the card is in normal status and meets the requirements for adding it; and responded that "there is no regulation to indicate whether the cardholder's name should be entered in pinyin or Chinese characters."

What a painful realization it was to realize that the picture above was so far away from me.

It seems that the only explanation is that it is the peak binding period now, and Apple's server network has a temporary problem. Let's try again after avoiding the peak period. I just don't know whether this phenomenon is common or isolated.
