  • Local category: local specialties, agricultural products, gourmet snacks, etc.;
  • Luxury goods: jewelry, handbags, watches, clothing, shoes, cosmetics, etc.

How to do it?

If you don’t know what you want to sell, you can first search in the Xianyu classification. Click on the classification in the upper right corner of the homepage and find the product you want. Car products and electrical appliances are both hot-selling categories recently.

For example, if you choose home appliances, you can search for the product on Xianyu, and then go to Pinduoduo to search for products from your competitors to see if there is any price advantage. If the price on Pinduoduo is lower than that of your competitors, then you can make this product.

4. There is a supply of goods

(1) Three popular product categories

a. Fresh Fruit/Agricultural Products

Apples, grapes, pears, watermelons, cantaloupes, lemons, dragon fruits, purple sweet potatoes, hawthorn slices, red dates, etc.;

b. Daily necessities/daily necessities

Detergent, laundry detergent, slippers, bedding, hair dryers, storage boxes, electric fans, suitcases, etc.;

c. Household items/kitchen items

Washing machine, refrigerator, sofa, TV, laptop, computer, table and chairs, rice cooker, induction cooker, microwave oven, etc.

First, see how many people are selling the same product on Xianyu, whether the product has high exposure and traffic, whether the product is popular and has a high repurchase rate, and whether the product can generate stable orders every day.

If you meet the above conditions, then you can focus on this field and choose a vertical product.

When an account can have stable exposure and stable orders every day, you can prepare a few more numbers for incremental operations and continuously screen good products for amplification.

(7) Definition of low, medium and high-priced products

What are low-priced products?

Price: between 0-50 yuan

In the early stage, it is suitable to sell low-priced products with small profits but quick turnover. Later on, the price will go up. Don’t always compete on price. Xianyu makes recommendations based on user preferences and will not make recommendations based on your price.

What is a mid-priced product?

Price: 50-100 yuan

This price range will not be as tiring as low-priced products, nor as difficult to sell as high-priced products. Mid-priced products are best to have price advantages, and choose some commonly used and repurchased products.

What are high-priced products?

Price: 150 yuan and above

High-priced products have eliminated some groups that pursue low prices. High-priced products do not need to have price advantages. To make such products, we must win by product quality. High customer orders mean high profits. Although the number of transactions may be smaller, one order can equal 10 or even a hundred orders from others.

3. Product Selection
