Operation log New operators always ask me how to do data analysis ? How to develop good habits of being sensitive to data? Start by learning how to write an operations log. After new operations personnel join a new company and become familiar with the work, they should start writing their own operations log as soon as possible. This "operation log" is not only your work log, but also your most basic daily data record, which allows you to easily trace back and search quickly. Therefore, I suggest that everyone write their operation log in EXCEL form, which is convenient and concise. The operation log can be in monthly units, and the data records for each day are recorded in the sub-table below. 

 At the same time, in order to exercise your sensitivity to data, it is recommended that you add yesterday's data to your daily operation log data for comparison. 

 Okay, now the question is, what data should a new operator remember? Just start by remembering the data related to your working module. If you are a new media operator . Then you need to record the data of new followers, unfollowing, reading volume, etc. of your official account every day If you are an APP promoter , you should record your downloads, daily active users, retention rate , etc. every day. If you are a community operator , record how many new members join and how many members leave your WeChat group every day. ……… If your job is an assistant or miscellaneous operation, you should also check the background every day and record these data as much as possible, although they may not be directly related to your work for the time being. And if there are major mistakes in your work on that day, or if your colleagues make major mistakes, you can also make a record of it. Just do this day after day, month after month, and persist every day. If you continue to look at these data in your records every day, your "sense of operations" will gradually build up. There may be a lot of new people asking me this. Brother Dong, a lot of data is recorded in the background, I can just retrieve it, why do I have to record it in the table multiple times in one go? Of course, I also know that a lot of data can be queried in the background of official accounts, Umeng , etc. But how do you develop good operational or workplace habits from the very beginning? Keep doing one work-related thing every day. It is like a "key" that helps you gradually build up your "professional qualities". “Operation log” is that “key”. Of course, there are many other benefits to keeping an operations log. If you keep a log when you start work every day, it will help you start a new day's work; if you keep a log when you get off work every day, it will put a perfect end to your day's work. And as your work ability becomes stronger, your operation log will become richer. This process of witnessing continuous growth will make your work more enjoyable. In short, new operators, go and create your own operation log. Operational workflow Due to the rapid development of mobile Internet , for many operators, there are more channels for promotion, and there are also more modules that need to be operated. I remember a reader came to me to complain that after joining a startup company, he was the only one in charge of operations. Basically, he was responsible for the WeChat public accounts , Weibo, WeChat groups, APP, etc. He was responsible for content, marketing, channels, and user operations , and he felt exhausted every day. I believe his situation is extreme, but most operators are in a similar situation to some extent. I also flipped through my notebook and found that there are basically about eight or nine things I have to do every day, big and small. For example, on September 21, there are 8 things recorded in the notebook: 1. Hold morning meeting 2. Submit expense report to finance 3. Finalize cooperation details with XX partner 4. Replace APP materials 5. Promote agent channels 6. Push subscription account content 7. Hold community seminars 8. Submit application form for app marketing activities I don't know if my sample is representative, but in my opinion, the daily work of operations is so trivial, and all kinds of miscellaneous things need to be done. If new operators cannot organize so many things in an orderly manner, they will soon neglect some work due to the busy work, and thus make a mess like dominoes. So I suggest that new operations people should learn to establish their own “operation workflow”. The main function of "operational workflow" is to streamline and record a large number of repetitive processes, so that operators can deal with emergencies in a clear and orderly manner. I once again recommend that all new operations personnel use EXCEL tables to create their own "operation workflow" documents. Label the seven days in the spreadsheet, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and so on. As long as your task is repeated every week, write it down in your workflow when you are ready to do it. For example:
  • On Mondays and Wednesdays, we push articles to the official account, and on Weibo five days a week,
  • The APP content is updated every Monday and various materials are replaced
  • At 10 am every day, handle yesterday's user issues in a unified manner
  • Every Thursday is the content selection, and we need to find ten articles
  • ………
 etc. etc. As long as this content needs to be done regularly every week, you should write it in the corresponding table in the "Workflow" table. This is just the first step. Your "workflow" table should not only include the results of the operational work, but also the work that needs to be prepared in the process. What does it mean? For example, push articles to the official account every Friday. Then every Monday, you need to write in your workflow table that you should write articles for the official account and complete the first draft. The second draft must be corrected in the form every Tuesday. The form written on Wednesday every week has been edited in the background of the official account. Write down the articles for public account push in the form every Friday. In this way, as long as you strictly follow the contents of the workflow table, your operations work will be well organized and move forward in an orderly manner every day. If necessary, I personally recommend that you add your colleagues' regular tasks into the workflow table as well, especially the work that requires coordination with colleagues. It will not only remind you, but also your colleagues, making your workflow smoother. Once your workflow is established and adjusted according to the appropriate situation, you only need to strictly follow the workflow every day, and you will find that: You are becoming more productive and organized.
