At this time last year, I wrote two articles to tell everyone how to operate a company’s official account . A person's information storage is limited. When information output cannot keep up with information input, learning to turn other people's knowledge into your own is a clever skill of stealing knowledge, which can then become a means of making a living. In 2009, Wu Xiaobo published four books at one time: His royalties that year were 7.5 million, ranking fifth on the fourth list of China's richest writers. Among them, there is a book called "The Big Failure", which can be regarded as a must-read book for Chinese entrepreneurs, but many people don’t know that a large number of cases in it have already been made public. The brilliance of Professor Wu lies in the fact that he compiled failure cases for entrepreneurs decades ago, which coincides with what Jack Ma said: " Lakeside University only studies failure." A few days ago, there was an episode of " The Debater ": The topic of the debate was "Is it a virtue not to cause trouble to others?" At the end of the debate, Luo Zhenyu cited two cases: 1. In Shakespeare's play "Hamlet", a father said to his child when sending him on a long journey, "Don't lend money to others, and don't borrow money from others." This is called not causing trouble. 2. 27 years ago, when Luo Pang went to college, his father said to him, "Mom and Dad can no longer help you, but you must remember four words: learn to ask for help." This is called causing trouble. Obviously, Luo Pang's father is wiser and smarter than the father in Hamlet. The example of Hamlet is selling second-hand information. Because the audience will not think that Luo Zhenyu stole other people's first-hand information, but instead think that he is knowledgeable. In the end, with this point of view, Luo Pang's team won the show. These two people are currently the top self-media people in China. These two cases also tell us how important it is to turn second-hand information into your own information and make a profit. This technique can also be used when operating a public account. Next, I will talk about three major areas based on this starting point: First, how to turn second-hand information into first-hand information and output it to users? 2. How do top influencers tell stories and cases? 3. How do ordinary people remember information quickly? 1. How to turn second-hand information into first-hand information and output it to users? Yesterday Zhou Chong wrote an article titled "How high is Huang Bo's EQ?" ”, citing seven or eight life cases, variety show cases, etc. to prove Huang Bo’s high emotional intelligence. The article eventually received more than 5,000 likes. Another well-known self-media "The President Never Pretends" wrote an article a few days ago titled "Suggesting that Faye Wong give Bai Baihe a marriage lesson." The article analyzed #Bai Baihe's cheating incident# indirectly through Faye Wong's marriage case. The number of readers of the article was far higher than usual, and it eventually received nearly 80,000 readers. These two popular articles have three things in common: 1. Opinions 2. Second-hand information 3. Examples By now you should understand that first-class self-media articles all have these three characteristics, which are the basic elements for writing articles on hot topics. It can be summarized into two steps: 1. Determine the topic 2. Collect second-hand information. The concrete way to sell second-hand information is storytelling. Now if you observe the top self-media accounts, they all tell emotional stories, life stories, and entrepreneurial stories. It can be said that they are like the Eight Immortals crossing the sea, each showing their magical powers. 2. How do self-media tell stories? 1. First of all, there are two types of stories: 1) Short stories are stories that happened to yourself, your friends, history, and real life, and can be told in a few hundred words. 2) Long stories that happened to yourself, your friends, history, and real life can only be told in several thousand words. Some people are suitable for telling short stories, so they make short videos ; some people are suitable for telling long stories, so they write articles. 2. Treat running a public account as storytelling: 1) Ordinary people tell various types of stories 2) People in professional fields should tell professional stories in that field 3. The typical method is to cite story-telling cases. Taking the account of Little Princess as an example, I counted the articles with relatively good reading volume recently, and it is amazing that all of them meet this conclusion. 4. Quoting story-based cases has several benefits for content operations : 1) Enhance reading pleasure. Whether it is an emotional article or a rational article, readers will feel boring after reading a certain number of words. Continuously inserting stories can promote the reading atmosphere. 2) Enhance persuasiveness by making abstract concepts concrete, using common phenomena or things in life to assist in explanation, so as to facilitate people's understanding, and these cases are usually proven to be true. 3) Suppress information exhaustion. Continuously output information from your brain. You will often feel that the information is not enough. Riding on hot topics and citing cases can alleviate this symptom. 4) To increase topics of conversation, take the article written by the little princess a few days ago, "The business difficulties faced by Luo Yonghao and Luo Zhenyu respectively led to this live broadcast ," as an example. Some fans forwarded it to their Moments , not because I wrote it well, but because Luo Yonghao or Luo Zhenyu wrote the part well. When forwarding to the circle of friends, it increases the topic of conversation in the field of Internet celebrities and also means issuing social currency. None of these story-based cases come from what we see and hear in daily life, so we are faced with the third link: how to store information in the brain? 3. How do ordinary people remember information quickly? 1. What is the basic thinking of human beings? In each of our brains, there is a very complex structure formed by neural memory points (points, concepts), neural lines connecting memory points (lines, judgments), and connections between neural lines (surfaces, reasoning). This structure is the material basis of human brain thinking. For example, the concept of "teacup" is connected in our minds to its pronunciation and the specific thing it represents. This thing presents various information in people's minds: shape, color, material, texture, function, etc. However, concepts alone are not enough; different concepts must be connected into judgments in order to express people's understanding of something. You cannot flexibly apply a case story to content creation because you cannot connect them into an understanding of something. In plane geometry, this point is explained very vividly: concepts - point, line, angle, triangle, parallel... Judgment—two points can be connected and can only be connected to form a straight line, and the sum of the interior angles of a triangle is 180 degrees... Since our time is broken into pieces by reality, we can only memorize information through distributed learning methods and finally form an understanding of something. 2. Distributed learning method: The first element of self-media content production is distributed learning. In the business world, everything will be related to the Internet. The Internet itself breaks your time into pieces. Instead of fighting against it, it is better to learn how to disperse your learning. Now I give you two choices: read a 100,000-word professional article in one day or read a 100,000-word professional article in five days. Which learning method would you choose? I believe that even if you choose the former, it will be difficult to complete, because our time is fragmented and our spirits are anxious. Obviously, the latter is less difficult to complete. This is what we often call learning by utilizing fragmented time. 3. There are two main types of human memory: 1) Instant memory. The time for instant memory of information is within 30 seconds. If it exceeds this time, it will be difficult for you to recall this memory, so the best way is to quickly record this memory in written form. 2) Long-term memory: There are two forms of information extraction from long-term memory: recall and recognition. The depth of processing has a great influence on the effect of memory. 4. Five ways to remember information: 1) Dig into the information itself to deepen your understanding of the information. For example, "the hippocampus plays a role in memory and spatial positioning." It is very simple but academic. It can be transformed into "the hippocampus is a personal GPS system." It is easy to remember the function of the hippocampus and not forget it. 2) Organize the information. Long-term memory is basically organized information. Therefore, when learning new knowledge, you must organize the information to make the knowledge three-dimensional and connect it into an understanding of something. The simplest way is to build a knowledge tree, and building a knowledge structure according to the directory is a simple and effective way. For details, please see my previous article "The real difference between WeChat editors and operations directors lies in: building and strengthening your own knowledge system " 3) Establish connections with existing knowledge and memories. For example, when you are reading this memory note, you can compare and match the knowledge in it with existing memories and experiences, and gradually integrate them into a new knowledge system. This requires more in-depth thinking, but the effect is immediate. 4) is keyword memory. For example, the picture below explains how to get the original function. After extracting the core keywords, it is: 300 words, original, and daily update. By recalling the branch threads composed of various keywords, we can finally form several hundred words of organized information. 5) Review and memory: German psychologist Ebbinghaus found that forgetting begins immediately after learning, and the process of forgetting is not uniform. Forgetting occurs quickly at first, then gradually becomes slower. It is human nature to forget, so timely review is very important, and it is best to review within 12 hours. 5. Learn to talk nonsense: There is nothing wrong with talking nonsense, just take the famous hosts such as Liang Hongda and Wang Han, Liang Hongda, Cui Yongyuan, Bai Yansong, Zhou Libo, Guo Degang and Gao Xiaosong as examples, not to mention their stage presence and ability to calm the audience. The most important thing is that everyone has one thing in common, which is chatting. Here we have to mention the legendary figure in China's hosting industry - Liang Hongda. Lao Liang started broadcasting sports commentary on CCTV in 2005. He can talk about everything from NBA to American culture, from American culture to the disintegration of the Soviet Union, from the disintegration of the Soviet Union to relations between major powers, from relations between major powers to how to play cards, from how to play cards to poker, and start to talk about the mysteries involved... Moreover, the transitions from one topic to another are natural and smooth, from astronomy to geography, from history to the future, from religion to philosophy, from literature to folk art, from military affairs to sports, from analysis to performance, with almost no pauses in between, let alone awkward moments. Anyone who has watched Lao Liang’s show knows that even Gao Xiaosong would feel inferior to him. In today’s highly developed Internet age, chatting is definitely a way to make a living. The only way to never be eliminated is to improve your ability to perceive information.
