This is mainly because Apps are very popular now and everyone wants to make money. Once they have an idea, they will do it immediately. After they have done it, they suddenly think about the market and promotion. So we talked and found that a lot of work had not been done. I thought about it and listed down the things you need to pay attention to when making mobile Internet apps. I wish my friends who are transforming to start a business can succeed quickly. The first thing: please do a good job of project research In fact, when many people make apps, they mostly start doing it immediately because of an idea, but they lack preliminary research. For example, the positioning of the App is about who will use it, 50-60 years old or 25-30 years old? We need to understand the characteristics of the population, such as housewives, single women, office workers, or middle school students. In many cases, early market research is very important. For an App project I was once responsible for, it took me two months to conduct research, which basically included market conditions, competitor conditions, technical conditions, domestic and international conditions, and development history. After completing the research, I basically became an expert. Therefore, preliminary research on the project must be done, and there are many forms of project research. You can do the survey online or distribute it at subway entrances. You can give out some gifts when doing the survey, and it generally doesn’t cost much. But it is very helpful for entrepreneurs. Why? Because during the research process, you will truly feel the user's psychology, thoughts, and concerns, which is much more effective than talking about it on paper. What is the purpose of making an App? It is to let users use it. If it meets the needs of most users, then we are successful. That way we won’t be blind when developing and designing products, and we will also have a clearer direction when promoting them in the future. Therefore, project research still needs to be done, which can increase the success rate of our App development. The second thing: do more publicity The second problem we discovered is that many people don’t pay much attention to publicity. I have met many people before, and when I chatted with them, they all said that their products and technologies were awesome. Because I didn’t understand it before, I found out after a year or two that there were many similar products on the market, and everyone felt that their technology was a barrier. In fact, it is all your own imagination. It will be easy to surpass you in the end. When competitors appear in the market, the only difference to surpass the opponent is publicity! Because publicity can bring users. Now is an era of rapid information flow. The cost and time for users to obtain information are getting smaller and smaller. If you don’t advertise for one minute, users may go to someone else. Secondly, publicity can also bring in potential partners. Generally speaking, many people prefer to look for partners with well-known brands. Why? Because cooperating with well-known companies can enhance their own visibility, and these are real benefits. Thirdly, publicity can also suppress the morale of competitors. If the competitor company does not pay attention to publicity, then your vigorous publicity will disrupt the opponent's morale, attract the attention of the opponent's customers, and increase the difficulty of sales for the opponent. There are many tricks involved. In addition, if used well, it is very easy to defeat your competitors. Therefore, don’t be blindly confident in your own skills. It will be very helpful to do more publicity. The third thing: more practice, less reading success stories There is a group of bosses on the Internet who, after becoming successful, will promote themselves everywhere, so that after being packaged by the media, they appear to be miraculous. These have confused some bosses who are eager for success and made many bosses believe that they can do something without spending money, or that their success is due to the quality of their products. In fact, many successful bosses will not tell you many real things, and some bosses even like to brag: for example, something was accomplished by 100 people, but when they told others it was done by 10 people. As a result, an entrepreneur who made mobile phones really thought it was done by 10 people, and finally hired 10 people for half a year but still couldn't do it. Who is this person? I guess everyone who reads articles often knows. Another point of bragging is that my success is due to the quality of my products, but I think this is too exaggerated. Apple is very successful because it spends a lot of time and money on publicity, which is clearly written in the biography of Steve Jobs. So don’t be superstitious about successful teams, successful products, and overly brilliant data. Others will not tell you how hard they have worked through their experiences and skills. They will only tell you the brilliant data. Don't be too superstitious about success theory, as it contains too much water. For many things, it is better to practice more, because only by practicing will you know that it is not that easy. Those who talk about success are taking advantage of people's desire for success to benefit themselves. The fourth thing: differentiated products Today I read an article about the Jewish golden rule, the 78:22 rule, which means that in a mature market only 22% of people make money, while the remaining 78% do not. For example, in the App market, there are only 20 to 30 Apps with over 50 million users, accounting for 22% and winning 78% of users. The other 78% of Apps are just following the trend, making little money and only occupying 22% of users. So when a market opportunity comes, we must strive to be among the 22%. At the same time, we must also focus on product differentiation. Now many people see that mobile Internet WeChat public accounts are very popular, so they all start to do it. Many people are just interested in it, and they do whatever others do. In the end, they can only be stuck in neither direction, wasting time. Some people do it, but the content is irrelevant. They post all kinds of articles. Without a theme, without publicity, without persistence, without differentiation, and without user positioning, it is impossible to succeed. If a market is in a red ocean, it is difficult to succeed. When you try, you have to differentiate yourself, highlight your own advantages, dig deep in the niche areas, become loyal users, and become loyal fans. Then there may be some opportunities. This is the case with the current apps. Now there is no future in simply making an app. It depends on how your product is differentiated and what can attract reporters and users, from online to offline, from babies to the elderly, from primary school students to white-collar workers. Different ages, different groups of people, and different behavioral characteristics can all be used to make differentiated products. There are currently 1 billion mobile phone users. If we can capture 10 million of them and monetize them, we can still be successful. In addition to product and user differentiation, there is also marketing differentiation. For example, in the current App promotion, when everyone is spending money on promotion, you have to open up new promotion methods. For example, if others are the first to release the product, you also need to be the first to release the product. If others change the volume, you also need to change the volume. This kind of following the crowd approach is unlikely to succeed. |
