At 17:00 on the 8th, with the ringing of the bell indicating the end of the exam, the 2020 college entrance examination in 18 provinces across the country, including Fujian, Shanxi, Jilin, etc., officially came to an end.
Due to different examination schedules, the college entrance examinations in some provinces will be concluded on the 9th and 10th.
Among them, eight provinces, including Liaoning, Tibet, Xinjiang, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia and Jiangxi, will complete all examinations on the 9th.
Five provinces, including Beijing, Tianjin, Zhejiang, Hainan and Shandong, will complete the examinations on the 10th.
In addition, due to the flood in She County, Anhui Province, the college entrance examination on the 7th was not held as scheduled. After comprehensive analysis and approval by the Ministry of Education, the examination area will use the sub-topics of the 2020 National College Entrance Examination in Chinese and Mathematics (Liberal Arts and Science) for the examination on the 9th.

According to incomplete statistics, as of the evening of the 8th, more than 10 provinces including Beijing, Shandong, Hubei, Jilin, Qinghai, Hunan, Gansu, Shaanxi, Guangxi, Jiangxi, and Sichuan have announced the time for checking college entrance examination results, most of which are scheduled for the end of this month.
Among them, the score checking time for Jiangxi, Guangxi, Hubei, Gansu, Sichuan and other provinces is expected to be July 23; Shaanxi is July 24; Hunan is before July 25; Qinghai, Beijing, and Henan is July 25; Jilin and Shandong are July 26.
Various places have deployed paper marking work, and the post-exam epidemic prevention and control efforts remain vigilant. The candidates have finished the exam, but the subsequent paper marking work has just begun. Under the special circumstances, this year's marking work not only requires ensuring fairness and justice, but also does not relax the epidemic prevention work.
Previously, the Ministry of Education had issued a document requiring that post-exam epidemic prevention work be carried out in an orderly manner. In accordance with the requirements, examination staff shall hand over examination materials such as test papers, answer sheets, and draft papers in an orderly manner. Strict closed management will be implemented at the marking points or areas, and a daily zero-report system for the health status of marking teachers will be implemented.
On this basis, various regions have introduced more detailed measures.
For example, Shandong requires strict closed management of marking points or marking areas, and all staff entering the marking area or workplace must have their temperature measured. Those with abnormal temperature are not allowed to participate in the marking work.
In terms of disinfection, Shandong requires that marking venues and facilities and supplies be disinfected twice a day, with a focus on surface disinfection of public areas in the work area, and completion signs must be clearly posted. Maintain good ventilation and use air conditioning correctly. During the marking process, the distance between staff positions should be increased.
In addition, staff members in the isolation examination room need to wear work clothes, medical protective masks and disposable gloves when opening answer bags and scanning answer sheets. They can wear protective clothing when necessary, and they must maintain good hand hygiene at the beginning and end of work.
In terms of ensuring fairness, in Gansu, the marking work is under the leadership of the Provincial Admissions Committee, and the Gansu Provincial National College Entrance Examination Marking Leading Group and the Gansu Provincial National College Entrance Examination Marking Arbitration Group were established to comprehensively strengthen the leadership of the marking work and the review and approval of questionable answer sheets; the Provincial Education Examination Authority established an Online Marking Office, which is fully responsible for the implementation of the marking work.
Shaanxi said that the Provincial Department of Education and the Provincial Education Examination Institute will strictly follow work standards, carefully and meticulously organize all work related to the college entrance examination marking, and focus on strengthening epidemic prevention in marking venues and among personnel to ensure fair and just marking.
