Huawei App Market Paid Promotion Operation Guide!

1. Developer Registration

First, you need to register in Huawei Developer Alliance (supports two registration methods: mobile phone and email). For more details, please refer to: Registration and Certification.

2. Enterprise real-name authentication

After registration, you need to complete the information required for enterprise real-name authentication and submit it for review. For more details, please refer to: Registration and Certification.

[Developer Information Settings] In "Settings" > "Developer Information", please change the contact name, email address, and phone number to the person usually responsible for the account so that you can receive the latest policies, information, important reminders, etc. in a timely manner.

3. Create an application

The most basic principle for using the app promotion service is that the app must have been available on the Huawei App Store . Developers can upload their apps for promotion by themselves, and after passing the review, they can apply for promotion evaluation. 4. Apply for promotion evaluation

Apps applying for paid promotion must have been listed on the Huawei AppGallery platform. For the first time applying for paid promotion, you must contact customer service or business to apply for promotion app evaluation (the evaluation period is about 2 to 3 working days).

Notice:

Please do not recharge before confirming whether the application has reached the promotion level to avoid making the recharged funds unusable.

4.1 Principles of Application Promotion Review

4.1.1 Apps must comply with the HUAWEI AppGallery App Listing Standards and may be reviewed by App Reviewers at any time.
4.1.2 Apps may not collect, transmit, or use user privacy data without notifying and obtaining the user's consent.
4.1.3 The development and use of programs to secretly collect user passwords or user private data will be rejected.
4.1.4 After the package is installed, it must automatically create a startup icon or clearly prompt the user to run the startup file path of the application.
4.1.5 The interface resolution after installation must be compatible with the resolution of mainstream Huawei terminal screens (1920 x 1080, 1280×720, 960×540, 854×480, etc.), and the user experience must be good. It must also be ensured that no display or input function abnormalities occur when the user switches the terminal to horizontal or vertical screen.
4.1.6 Applications running in full-screen mode should make full use of the entire screen space, and the entire interface should be displayed in the center.
4.1.7 The application interface and the fonts and images therein are clearly displayed, and no situation where they are unrecognizable or unoperable is allowed; the application's operation buttons, operation interface, etc. are of normal size and are displayed in proportion to the size.
4.1.8 The application interface is required to be simple, sophisticated, creative and well-designed. Don't allow the user interface to be too complex or too simple.
4.1.9 The application must be compatible with HiSilicon chips, have a certain reputation and user base, and conform to the preferences of Huawei terminal users and Huawei App Market users.

4.2 Uncooperative Application Types

The types of applications that Huawei's application promotion service does not currently cooperate with are as follows:

Applications with offer walls	Force ROOT permissions	No qualifications in financial management or medical treatment

5. Top up promotion fund

After confirming that the app has reached the promotion level, you can make a promotional recharge. For the first recharge, you need to sign the "Huawei Developer Paid Service Agreement" and maintain the invoice information. Recharge supports two payment methods: online and offline. For offline recharge, you need to create a new recharge order in my account and upload the payment receipt. It will take 2 working days for bank account arrival and financial review.

5.1 Apply for recharge

“Admin Center” > “My Account” > “Balance” > “Top Up Now”. If you have not signed the paid service agreement, you will be redirected to the contract and invoice information page. You can only recharge after completing the page information.

5.2 Payment Methods

Choose online or offline payment and confirm the invoice information. The payment company name must be the same as the registered account company.

5.2.1 Online Recharge

Fill in the amount to be recharged, pay directly via online banking, and the recharged amount will be credited to your account instantly.

5.2.2 Offline Recharge

Fill in the recharge amount. The recharge amount for each order should be the same as the actual payment amount of each transaction at the bank (for example, if there are 2 offline payments, 2 orders corresponding to the 2 recharge amounts need to be created separately). Your payment note will be displayed below the bank account number. It must be filled in when making offline payments. Recharges with correct payment notes can be credited to your account within 2 working days (please recharge 3 working days in advance if it is a holiday)

5.2.2.1 Offline recharge account information

Please note: (When making offline payments, you must fill in the bank transfer note column to explain the business and purpose of the payment. If there are character restrictions, please fill in the developer account first.)

5.3 Upload “Payment Receipt”

Timely uploading of payment receipt (bank slip) can reduce the review cycle. If you recharge first and then create an order, you can select "Upload immediately" in this step. If you create an order first and then recharge, you can select "Not yet paid, upload later".

5.4 Complete the creation of the recharge order

Obtain the recharge order number. After payment, click "Confirm Payment" to upload the payment receipt. If you create the same or wrong order, you can select "Cancel". After confirming the payment, you can export the contract. If you need to change the invoice information, you can also do so in this step.

5.5 Promotion Fund Arrival

The "Promotion Fund Balance" will show the amount of money that has been recharged. You can participate in the promotion after creating a promotion task.

[Important function] Insufficient balance reminder: Developer recharge cycle, set a promotion budget of at least 2 days. You can choose email or SMS reminder (the first time you set up SMS reminder, you need to verify your mobile phone number). Turning on the reminder function can effectively prevent the application from being disconnected.

6. First invoice application and invoice related matters

6.1 First Invoice Application

Please fill in the invoice information according to the page content in the alliance backend payment service to ensure that the invoice information is accurate. If the invoice is filled in incorrectly due to developer problems, it will not be re-invoiced.

6.2 Invoice Request

When recharging the promotion fund, you need to confirm the invoice information and fill in the corresponding content according to the selected invoice type (special VAT invoice, general VAT invoice).

6.2.1 Invoice Title/Content

The default header is the enterprise certification name, and the invoice content is the information fee and service fee.

6.2.2 Invoicing Time

After the order recharge is successful, if the developer clicks "Apply for Invoice", the system will send the invoice within 15 working days. If the developer does not click "Apply for Invoice", the system will automatically trigger the invoice application after 15 working days and send the invoice within 15 working days after the invoice application is triggered.

Notice:

After receiving the invoice by mail, please be sure to sign or stamp the "Huawei Invoice Receipt Form" attached to the email and mail it back to Huawei. Developers who fail to sign and return it will not be able to issue invoices later.

6.2.3 Invoice Information Update

If there are special circumstances such as changes in the company entity, replacement of the three-in-one business license, changes in the invoice type, etc., please refresh the invoice information immediately in the alliance background, and synchronously update the invoicing information in the orders that have not triggered the invoicing application. For orders that have triggered the invoicing application, the invoice will be issued according to the old invoicing information. If the invoice is filled out incorrectly due to the developer's problem, it will no longer be re-invoiced.

7. Create an app promotion task

Creation process: "Admin Center" > "App Promotion" > "Create a New Promotion Task" > "Fill in Promotion Content" > "Submit for Review".

Task name: The name used by the backend and developers to identify the promotion plan (the first promotion task created for the same application must be reviewed before it can be launched, and the review cycle is 1 working day).
Promoted apps: Select the apps you want to promote (if you are promoting an app for the first time, you need to contact customer service to apply for promotion evaluation).
Mainly promote the third-level category: Select the main third-level category, your app will be displayed in this category.
Billing type: CPD.
Recommended position type: The available placement types include general recommendation area and incentive channel area.
Bid: How much you want to spend per download.
Daily budget: The daily promotion budget is online. If the promotion expenditure on that day reaches this amount, the promotion plan will be automatically suspended and will resume the next day.
Start and end time: Set the start date and end date of this promotion task. The task will stop automatically after the expiration date.

8. Monitor promotion results

[View the process] "Admin Center" > "My Reports" > "App Promotion Reports" > "View/Download Export".

After the bid for an application that has placed CPD bidding is completed, you can select the application and period in the application promotion report for query. The report will provide information such as application display (exposure), downloads, consumption amount, average download price, etc. Developers can analyze and adjust bids based on the report data. The report can be downloaded locally (the time span of the exportable report does not exceed 31 days, please export the data in time for storage).

Notice:

The amount of organic downloads can be viewed in the app market report, and the amount of promoted downloads is based on the app promotion report.
