In 2020, community commerce is developing in full swing. The community group purchasing model has promoted the prosperous development of community commerce. More and more businesses are optimistic about community commerce and are participating in it. In fact, the most important thing in community group purchasing is to have a good source of goods. Quality can guarantee everything.

So, if we want to do community group buying, how do we solve the problem of supply?

In fact, as a startup project, community group buying currently accounts for a relatively small proportion of investment funds.

First, solve the supply problem. There are currently two solutions:

1. Find a drop shipping supplier

Agents look for owners of convenience stores in mainland communities to do community group buying. Generally, convenience stores that provide door-to-door delivery services in the community have their own communities, and have added many property owners in the community to their circle of friends. At the same time, the owners of these convenience stores are mostly husband-and-wife shops, so it is relatively easy to negotiate and cooperate.

Generally speaking, the boss has the final say on purchasing and sales and has the decision-making power (chain convenience stores have a series of decision-makers such as purchasing/quality control/director, which is time-consuming and not easy to reach a cooperation). Confirm the group purchase products with the convenience store and send a sample first for the boss and consumers in the store to experience.
The owner of the community convenience store initiates a group purchase and counts the orders for you, and you then feed the orders back to the drop shipping service provider. After the orders for fresh fruits and vegetables are counted through pre-sale group buying, they are collected and packaged at the place of origin and transported to the Xi'an branch warehouse for delivery. The group purchase order closed loop was completed in a few days.

Your capital investment is only for the period from the time you advance the money to the drop shipping service provider after the community group buying orders are counted and the time when the goods arrive at the user, and the time when the convenience store owner settles the payment with you, which generally does not exceed 7 days.

At the same time, after cooperating several times, the convenience store owner will settle the payment to you first after counting the group purchase orders, so you don’t need to invest in ordering funds.
This method is suitable for handling fresh fruits and products with a short shelf life. It can effectively reduce losses, control quality, and ensure the freshness of the products.

2. Prepare products for group purchase

This model requires relatively little capital investment. After selecting products and preparing for stocking, you can put them on display to convenience store owners, and at the same time, the owners can conduct group purchase pre-sales on WeChat Moments and community customer groups. In-store consumers can experience and learn about the group purchase products on site. For this type of group buying, since you have done the stocking work, the logistics and express delivery costs are low and the profit margin is larger. At the same time, product displays are also provided, which is equivalent to combining traditional channels and online group purchase sales. It is not applicable to fresh products or products with a short shelf life among fast-moving consumer goods.

In fact, in my personal opinion, I still prefer the first method. The second method still has financial pressure. Community partners only need to use their own community stores, community owners, community properties and other resources in the community to establish a WeChat group for community residents. Community partners only need to promote product information to residents in the district, and residents can place orders independently and choose to pick up the goods at the community store address. Community partners can also place orders through mobile phone orders, and merchants will deliver the goods to the community stores, and community residents can pick up the goods at the door.

This model is currently the hottest, most suitable and most popular model among residents in community commerce.
