We can imagine this: if we just pull a group of people from the street, even if we let them get together for a big meal, they will just leave after eating. They certainly don’t have any common language with each other, and they won’t have such a strong need to understand and connect with each other.

But we all know that an important determinant of the health and activity of a community is whether the community members are familiar with and compatible with each other. Therefore, if you bring together individuals who are not the same type of people, even if you try your best, it will be difficult for everyone to remain active.

Therefore, if the community is not active, the first thing you need to reflect on is the way and process of gathering fans. Note: the word "gathering" is used here, not hard pulling or other deceptive means to attract fans .

Gathering means: using the essential value of the community to attract users to join actively. In fact, attracting is not accurate, it should be more appropriate to seduce, that is, through various display methods, techniques and routines, let users be impressed by the value of the community as much as possible and gather actively. Only in this way can we gather the right people who resonate with us and lay a solid foundation for the continued activity of the community.

Tips: AB method for gathering the right people

Gathering the right people is the basis and key to an active community, but in actual operation, a problem that easily arises is setting relatively high conditions and thresholds, and some people even adopt the approach of preferring to have nothing rather than to have something of poor quality.

In fact, there is no good or bad in kung fu, but there are different levels of skill, and the same is true for community operation . There is no right or wrong way to operate . However, I still want to recommend the most cost-effective way to gather accurate fans for the community, which is the AB method.

It sounds very high-sounding, but it actually refers to two types of fan pools: one is as many potential fans as possible, and the other is as accurate true fans as possible.

This AB method has at least two benefits:

If the content value, network value, and resource value of the community can be refined as much as possible, the sense of belonging of community members will be greatly enhanced, and their activity level will be greatly improved.

Tips: Value Case Promotion

While ensuring the value of high-quality products, we must also do a good job in promoting the value effects.

Pay attention to exploring actual cases where community value has helped members or facilitated cooperation, and then publicize it through the maximum channels possible. You need to make all community members feel that the community value may not be of much help to me for the time being, but the community can indeed provide great help to many people, and it is still necessary to join the organization.

3. Carry out the ceremony well

Many people say that the army and religion can actually be regarded as relatively powerful communities. What we can find is that the more powerful the community is, the more importance it places on the execution of various rituals. Community members who have experienced rituals tend to be more cohesive and have a stronger desire to be active and motivated to cooperate in activities.

Why is this?

This is hierarchical incentive. It should be said that the method is relatively simple and easy to understand and does not require much explanation, but its effect on active communities is indeed very obvious.

Tips: Don’t underestimate the role of spiritual motivation.

In fact, many times, in the community, material incentives are not necessarily necessary. Spiritual rewards that can awaken people's hearts are actually more effective than material incentives.

Sometimes, an honorary title, a certificate, a medal, a special identity, etc., if used properly, can have a better incentive effect than material things.

We see more and more people posting certificates of justice, admission letters, best xx awards, etc. produced by companies on their WeChat Moments. Even if it is issued by an ordinary company, it is actually very motivating for the individual.
