Writing a plan is an important skill that must be possessed. I hope this article can provide you with correct guidance in making various plans. First, remember: Planning is not a list of directions and wishes, nor is it a task list, nor is it a list of goals. This is also something I have always taken as a warning. This kind of checklist-style plan has always been the most common. It works every time and everyone is happy to do it. Very quickly, they listed all kinds of lofty goals and things they wanted to do, making the future look bright and promising, and then added some trendy words, such as "creating buzz", "integration of brand and effect", "strong traffic diversion", "strengthening social DNA", "exploding the entire network", "KOL forwarding"... It is written with passion and guidance. It makes you feel that life has reached its climax and peak. It makes your blood boil and you are full of longing for the future. But when I calm down and think about it, I just feel: It’s so exciting! The biggest flaw of this plan is that although it seems inspiring, it does not address any specific issues and does not solve any problems. So how should we make plans? Before that, we need to understand what a plan is. In my opinion, planning is a specific path to achieve clear goals, and its essence is to solve problems. Under this premise, planning is to customize an implementable solution for a specific problem and achieve the goal by planning a series of actions. The most basic components include but are not limited to:
1. Background Analysis As mentioned before, making plans is actually about solving problems, so where do the problems come from? It's definitely not a spur-of-the-moment decision. We need to have a clear analysis of the industry, the company, future development, products, etc. before we can find current problems and breakthroughs for the next year. The more background analysis is done, the more specific the problems will be, and the plan will be more targeted and well-founded. When making plans, never deviate from your current situation. Go wherever you want and do whatever you want. You know, creativity is not difficult, what is difficult is how to combine creativity with specific problems to solve them. 2. Goal Setting Once you have a problem to solve, the next step is to set specific goals. Only when we have the "end" first, can we know how to "begin" and what to do next. All subsequent actions and measures are taken to achieve this goal. This goal is actually what everyone likes to write about most. I will simply talk about 4 points: 1) The premise of all goal setting should be based on the previous background analysis and in line with the company's strategic development. 2) Goals are generally divided into active goals and passive goals. Passive goals are tasks or performance goals assigned to you by the company/leader. Active goals are things you want to accomplish. Whether it is an active goal or a passive goal, it requires focus. 3) Big goals should be broken down into small goals, and the big goals can be achieved by completing small goals one by one. 4) Any of your beautiful goals needs to follow certain standards and can be optimized using the SMART principle, which means your goals need to be Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-bound. Implementation Strategy The solution to a problem and the realization of a goal must be supported by a corresponding overall strategy. For example, KOL strategy, IP content strategy, product and effect integration strategy, online + offline advertising bombardment strategy, product upgrade strategy, etc. The purpose of setting goals is to align all actions in the same direction, while the purpose of developing strategies is to make each action more specific and targeted. IV. Specific measures and division of labor Next, you need to break down the actions required to implement the strategy. That is, which dimensions you will go through, which means you will use, and when you will achieve which stage goal. And each implementation task is assigned to a department or person, so that everyone is no longer faced with a huge and difficult goal, but a familiar task that is feasible in the corresponding section. Make sure that each small goal that has been broken down has specific, achievable and responsible means under the premise of the overall strategy. In this way, the entire path to solving the problem will be clearer, rather than just an empty goal. V. Resource Budget Planning After all the planning is done, we need to plan the existing resources and budget on the one hand, and on the other hand, we need to "act pitiful", that is, to show what difficulties and concerns there are in achieving the goal and what support we need. Such as personnel support, financial support, resource support and so on. Don't hide it and play heroism. The standard by which an enterprise evaluates a person is always the results. Not spending money, not hiring people, and not using resources cannot be considered as your military achievement. Only when these most basic components are completed can a plan be considered a complete and effective solution, rather than just empty talk. If the planning is not scientific, you may end up busy all day... Finally, let me share my three views on writing plans: 1. Some people like to deal with I would rather believe that many people cannot make a good plan because they don’t have a clear idea of how to write a plan, rather than believe that they do it just to get by. Who to deal with? It can only be yourself! The truth. 2. Some people think that making plans is just a formality. I don't know if making plans and programs is a common practice in everyone's company. But I know for sure that if you make a good plan, the biggest beneficiary is yourself. This is an exercise in your thinking ability, which will allow you to more clearly understand the goal and result orientation, better understand the company's business processes, enable you to better analyze and utilize industry trends, and improve your management and control capabilities step by step. At the same time, the whole process is also a process of self-examination. 3. Some people say that I make plans every year, but plans cannot keep up with changes. I understand this question. It means that the company's decisions are always changing, and the plans we make are often disrupted. First of all, there will definitely be changes. Even the plans made by the boss will change due to the development of the company. This is not a problem. Secondly, what is more important in making plans is to think about the process of solving problems and achieving goals. We must also learn to optimize and improve our solutions from changes. In summary, planning should be a solution, a process for solving problems, not a list of goals. In addition to making detailed plans, planning is also a process of deep thinking and self-examination.
