APP promotion: How to attract a large amount of free traffic?

APP promotion: How to attract a large amount of free traffic?

If marketing were a science, I would rather be a wild bird. Please forgive my simple and crude idea: scientists beg for subsidies to endure hardships, and wild birds find their own way to make money every day.

As the saying goes, domestic chickens stay close to the rice soup can, while wild birds have no food and the world is wide open.

What I'm talking about today is how to get some free traffic like a little wild bird in the early stages of your business.

There are two types of traffic, passive traffic and active traffic.

It is difficult to get active recommendations from others for "passive traffic" - there is no shortcut except managing content, fans, and contacts every day.

"Active traffic" is easy to obtain. We will give you 100,000 traffic and wait for you to wipe your face and roll up your sleeves to clean the streets.

What are you sweeping? What street?

Sweeping the first street: QQ and WeChat traffic

Step 1: Prepare a bunch of Android phones.

Why an Android phone?

Because Android phones are not picky about food, they can install a lot of strange promotional software that iOS systems cannot install. This is also because Android phones are cheap.

Why are there so many mobile phones?

Use WeChat/QQ. The WeChat/QQ system has two main criteria for detecting cheating: multiple identities and whether MAC and IP addresses are shared. Each mobile phone has a unique MAC address. If the IP address used to access the Internet using mobile data is also independent, it will not be marked as cheating by the WeChat/QQ system.

Step 2: Buy a bunch of mobile phone cards without real-name authentication.

Why do you buy a SIM card without real-name authentication when registering for WeChat?

If you are not tired of real-name authentication one after another, and you are not worried that your credit record will be affected by a bunch of mobile phone numbers that owe money, then go for real-name authentication.

Why did you register a secondary account instead of your current ID?

I didn't point out that some WeChat merchants are low-level, but even if you set "partially visible" in each circle of friends, it won't hurt your relatives and friends. If WeChat/QQ releases new rules to block your account, won't you lose all your contacts?

Step 3: Add 4,000 friends to your WeChat account

Why 4,000 friends? WeChat has a maximum of 5,000 friends, and the remaining 1,000 are used for natural growth.

How to fill 4000 friends?

Please read the "Ten Rules for Recruiting People"

1. Buy a bunch of level 16 Sun QQ accounts and ask for people from the QQ group.

It doesn't look like a QQ picked up on the roadside, it's easy to add groups and pass, and it's not easy to be blocked. The Sun account can create two ordinary groups, one more than the normal number; why is it that the QQ account directs followers to the WeChat account, and not the other way around?

Compared with WeChat’s upper limit of 5,000 people, even the Sun account can only add 550 people. WeChat’s upper limit is too short and can be easily sealed, so it is only used for drainage, not landing. Whether it is QQ chat or space, everyone can comment and like. It is not easy to create the illusion of being a hot seller like on WeChat Moments.

2. The time users spend on mobile devices is measured by the time users spend on mobile devices, and the time users spend on mobile devices is measured by WeChat. WeChat’s Moments have a higher exposure rate, and one-on-one communication is faster and smoother.

Why do we attract fans through groups? Groups are the fastest way.

The most crude way to play with groups is to use keywords to find groups related to your products and industries (up to 20 groups can be added each day, so they must be filled up every day), and then use group messaging software to add friends in batches.

Regardless of the product or industry, the pass rate of friends will not be higher than 1%.

A slightly more sophisticated way to play in groups——

1. Also join the group

Don’t rush to add friends in batches after joining the group. First, let’s chat and get to know each other. Then, make a tutorial (embedded WeChat ID) for the key points that the group members are concerned about, upload it to the group to share, or publish it to the official account (embedded WeChat ID), and then forward it to the group.

We believe that group members solving this problem is a gimmick to attract fans, and they pretend to be cool and show off. Half of the people may actively add you, and then you can pull your friends to create a group and encourage them to invite their friends to join.

The most comprehensive way to play the group method - the high-end method is to add more than 3 small accounts to the group at a time, one is responsible for the funny and forwarding soft articles, and the others are responsible for supporting the funny; even if you get scolded, leave a WeChat account and exit the group, and the one who supports the funny can continue to lurk and play the above two methods.

2. Ask the video site for help

The three major traffic gathering places on the entire network: music, games and videos.

So, download the video related to your industry, PS it on your WeChat or QQ, or hide it in the WeChat or QQ voice, then change the title and upload it again.

3. Ask for people from WeChat merchants

There are two groups of micro-business people in China.

A group of people are called uplines, who set up a trap to make downlines believe that they will soon be able to drive a Porsche, and then they take the agency fees and deposits from the downlines to buy a Porsche themselves;

A group of people are called downlines. They paid the agency fees, had goods in hand, but did nothing to promote them. They are not convinced and everyone says they were cheated by their uplines. They want to sell goods to prove themselves, so they post on their Moments to vent their anger whenever they have nothing to do.

This kind of IQ chicken captures downlines and has established a group of micro-businesses, who rely on each other and wait for others to add you. Just tell them that a good way is to join a bunch of WeChat business groups and copy that paragraph. "I just learned a good method. You don't need to download any software. It's no problem to automatically add hundreds to thousands of people a day. Send me a private message and I'll teach you for free (the last 10 places)"

4. Ask for the person's phone number

Whether it is 58 or the regional yellow pages, there are a large number of mobile phone numbers - search for relevant keywords in your industry, then extract mobile phone numbers, and add friends on WeChat one by one.

Of course, depending on the industry, there are also "special contacts" - if you sell water injections, you should take the initiative to find KTV receptionists and bars to buy address books.

Can be passive

Post messages about selling houses and cars at low prices on Tongcheng, Ganji.com, and various rental and second-hand car platforms, and leave a small mobile phone number bound to WeChat. Wait for insurance, finance, and real estate agents to contact you, then buy from them, exchange contacts with them, and add them as friends on WeChat one by one.

5. Ask for people for fake demands

It can be a fake recruitment demand. The salary standard is very high, at least tens of thousands. Just say that it is a SOHO job at home and there is no educational requirement. Then your phone number and WeChat will be implanted.

It can be a pseudo-witness demand

Using an ID to publish WeChat business related tasks on the Witkey website can attract people to accept the tasks and also attract a large number of people to watch the WeChat business.

6. Send group messages asking for people

If you are a beautician, register your account with your WeChat ID (for example, "WeChat: XXX") and send such group mailing software, soft articles, etc. to the Xinge Forum. If you are in other industries, look for your industry community forum.

7. Free recruitment

Such as text tutorials, video tutorials and the latest movies on Taobao, and post them to relevant forums, saying that they can be retrieved by sending emails, and the emails will automatically reply with more information, movies and WeChat IDs.

For example, using the answers of Baidu Knows experts (the id is hidden in the trumpet) and quoting Baidu Netdisk data (the data is hidden in the trumpet again); for example, forums and bulletin boards will issue live posters, and the process and progress of solving problems will be updated through daily live broadcasts, and trumpets will be implanted.

8. Ask for someone from Se Liu

Everyone has sexual desires, and the regulations are so strict that anyone who dares to play with the edge of pornography will be punished.

——For example, hang out on a forum or BBS, and occasionally send voice messages in a beautiful voice and leave a smurf account.

9. Ask for people from each other

You have a CP, I have a CP, and if we exchange violations, we're screwed. Just post on WeChat Moments saying that a friend of mine wants to make XX, and if you want to buy XX, scan the code with my name to get a 10% discount. Indirectly, play a guessing game in the circle of friends, and if you guess correctly, scan the QR code and add your friends to receive the prize.

10. Ask for people from fission

The so-called fission means that your friends will actively invite people to you, and your good friends will split into more than one. How to do it? Either give him a red envelope, play games with him, or give him value - through red envelopes, send a letter to a circle of friends: If you want a red envelope, contact me to join the group

When the group has 10 people, they announce that they will give red envelopes to 100 people - allowing those who are greedy for bargains to scramble to recruit people. When it reaches 100 people, you will be allowed to add your new account to receive red envelopes; after so many times, the new 4,000 people have been split and filled up.

Fission through games

Send to Moments: If you want to win XX grand prize, please contact me to join the group; 2. When there are ten people in the group, they start to guess the dice to award prizes - first two dice, then three dice, so that the cheapskates can forward and recruit others. 3. Let the person who guesses correctly receive a red envelope with your new number. After so many times, the new 4,000 people have split.

Through value fission

1. Conduct astrology, fortune telling and personality tests in the WeChat group at 20:00 every day;

2. If there are not enough people, ask group members to invite others to join the group;

3. If you add your smurf account, you will get a tutorial on astrology, fortune telling and word guessing;

After a few games, a new account with 4,000 members was created.

step:

Use WeChat secondary account to monetize

No cash for adding friends

It’s like thinking of marketing as a scientific study that’s moving further and further away from money. To achieve, there are both big and small realizations.

1. Big Monetization

Of course, you should vigorously promote your WeChat official account, or use a subscription account, and then set up a WeChat store to sell products, or open a service account, and then use plug-ins such as "Renren Store" to develop three-level distribution, or use plug-ins such as "91 Group Buying" to develop group buying.

When to open a WeChat store, and when to play three-level distribution and group buying?

1. When should I sell products in WeChat store?

When the product is "non-standard".

Goods like out-of-print signed books, consecrated Buddha amulets, DIY handmade soaps, and high-quality imitation watches, which are not available on Taobao and are difficult to compare in price even if they are available, can be effectively sold in WeChat stores.

2. When will we develop three-level distribution and group buying?

When the product is "universal" and "affordable".

Goods like imported fruits, imported skin care products, and imported health care products, which are needed by everyone and seem high-end but are very cheap even if they are marked at just a few dozen yuan, have to be sold through three-level distribution and group buying.

2. Small cash-out

Showing red envelope records implies that someone is actively sending red envelopes to please you.

Is street sweeping really hard, tiring and low-class? That’s right, comfort is for those XX. The only way to survive is to fight fiercely. If starting a business relies on talking, then everyone licking lollipops on the street would be worth tens of millions; what's more, even with such fierce actual combat, one may not be able to survive. If it is not fierce, then survival is impossible at all.

Sweeping the Second Street: Self-media and Internet Traffic

Step 1

To undertake the traffic of the entire network, open a WeChat public account? Why use WeChat public accounts to undertake the traffic of the entire network?

1. Because WeChat official accounts are decentralized. The so-called centralization is like a domestic bird. Whether it eats well or not depends on its owner.

Just like content-based communities like Toutiao, the large traffic entrances are controlled by editors, and authors have to live by the editors' moods. Are you willing to let the traffic you have worked so hard to get be exploited by the platform and used by others?

Another example is Sina Blog. Once it is recommended on the homepage, the number of readers will exceed 10,000 in minutes. What if it is not recommended? I don’t know, because I have never visited a blog that was not recommended on the homepage.

The so-called decentralization is like a wild bird. It depends on itself whether it eats well or not.

WeChat public accounts are a typical feature. Every follower and every reader on my public account is the result of my own hard work, so the WeChat platform has no power to interfere with the content (after all, I don’t rely on the platform’s recommendations, and no one is watching the platform’s face every day).

2. Because WeChat public accounts come with sharing endorsements

Build your own website, use a US domain name, Hong Kong host, no need for filing, the content is more free than WeChat, why not build your own website to handle the entire network traffic?

Because you build your own website without sharing attributes - it's already stressful to open your strange domain name without any license, and sharing a web page on your domain name that may contain a virus with your friends requires a lot of patience. WeChat public accounts are different. Backed by Tencent’s security endorsement, sharing only depends on the content, and nothing else matters.

3. Because of WeChat public account, backed by WeChat entrance

Mobile devices account for more than half of users' usage time, and WeChat accounts for more than two-thirds of mobile usage time - this is not the point. The point is that WeChat has public account following and push entrances. As long as the content is strong like this account, high-frequency and multiple openings are not a problem at all.

Step 2

Accumulate high-quality content on WeChat public accounts

1. What is “accumulation”?

At least update one article a day to show respect for your followers; even if you can't update due to something, just post a picture to show your support.

2. What is “quality content”?

The content itself is very different, and it is impossible to give a universal standard, but we can roughly look at three data.

First, look at the reading rate: the higher the reading rate (number of readers/number of fans) of the article, the better the article;

Second, look at the number of comments: the higher the comment rate (number of comments/number of fans) of the article, the better the article;

Third, look at the number of likes: the higher the article’s like rate (number of likes/number of fans), the better the article.

These three data are sufficient to evaluate each article every day.

Step 3

To attract traffic to a WeChat public account, if there are not 100,000 readers, then there is no point in increasing the number of readers, comments, and likes? Of course.

1. Draw traffic from followers

Why?

When a follower forwards your article to their circle of friends and makes a positive comment, it becomes your best soft copy - forwarding it to your circle of friends directly drives traffic to you; making a positive comment serves as a friend's endorsement of trust and strengthens the traffic-generating effect.

How to do it?

So what is the decisive factor that makes followers forward and comment positively? The title. 80% of the audience only reads the title, so it is enough for the title to be "pretentious".

In addition, why does the author’s name appear in the title of every article? Of course, it is to allow those who forward the article to endorse you unknowingly. ——In short, you use the title to show off to your followers, and your followers endorse you by forwarding your posts.

2. Drain traffic from WeChat and QQ

See the previous street.

3. Drain traffic from Weibo

Why is it that it is not WeChat that drives traffic to Weibo, but Weibo that drives traffic to WeChat?

The time spent by Weibo users has been largely squeezed out by WeChat; and Weibo’s timeline also tends to be focused on celebrities and comedians, so it’s best to transfer your fans to WeChat public accounts before the consequences are severe.

How to do it?

If you don't have many fans on Weibo,

1. Search for keywords related to the problem on Weibo, and then use the Internet's "telepathy" to follow the audience who mentioned the relevant problem (according to the "law of reciprocity", if an unknown person is followed, he or she may return the follower because he or she feels indebted to him or her; plus the "law of large numbers", if you follow 100 people, at least one person will return the follower).

2. Search for keywords related to the question on Weibo, and then use the Internet trolls to comment and send private messages to invite people to take the test (you can push the WeChat public account ID at the beginning of the test, and leave the WeChat QR code for the test results)

If you have a lot of followers on Weibo, you can directly put a WeChat QR code on the cover photo, just like this:

4. Drain traffic from columns

From which columns do you draw traffic?

Open Toutiao account, Sohu public account, Yidian Zixun public account, Huxiu column, Baidu Baike, Jianshu, Zhihu answers, Zhihu column, and Sina blog.

Why draw traffic from columns?

Because these columns have "centralized" recommendation bonuses - for example, opening Toutiao, Sohu public account, Yidian Zixun public account, Huxiu column, Baidu Baike, Zhihu answers, Zhihu column, Sina blog, the articles and authors that the editors like will get the platform's core resources to promote;

For example, Zhihu answers and columns will gain geometric exposure as fans like them.

For example, Sina Blog, although there are no reliable resources, but the SEO weight is naturally high, which is used to occupy the long-tail keyword search results and the related search terms of small brands and small authors. It only takes a few articles to reach the homepage.

5. Drain traffic from videos

Download videos related to your industry, photoshop them onto your WeChat official account, or hide the voice message of the recommended WeChat official account, then change the title and upload it again.

If you are beautiful or weird enough, you can post the short videos embedded in the official account to Miaopai, Meipai, and Xiaokaxiu; and repost the official account articles from time to time on Yingke, Huajiao, and Douyu Live, and maybe your WeChat account will be full in one show.

6. Draw traffic from pictures

Post pictures with your WeChat public account ID watermark all over the Internet so that they can be included in Baidu Pictures and then quoted by uninformed netizens.

Tips: Baidu Tieba pictures, Baidu Encyclopedia, Sogou Encyclopedia, Duitang.com, Huaban.com, pictures in Sina blog articles, and pictures in articles from news sources with high Baidu weight will all be given priority in Baidu Images.

7. Drain traffic from classified information websites

Classified information websites, such as 58, Renren, and Ganji, are all targets for traffic diversion.

Most of the time it's just to show off one's presence, but if the algorithm goes haywire or the editor makes a stupid recommendation, it can also bring benefits - so it's enough to use software such as "Xingpigeon Classified Information Marketing Expert" instead of human effort to show off one's presence.

8. Drain traffic from Baidu Tieba

When Mop, Tianya, and Xici Hutong, which were popular in the PC era, gradually fell out of favor, Tieba remained hot - after all, Baidu Tieba ranked high among all Baidu search results, bringing in a large amount of novice traffic to Tieba.

First, heat it up and forward the content of the WeChat public account to Tieba every day.

To ignite the explosion again, use QR code as avatar and signature image; the article can be soft-implanted into WeChat public account at any time;

Get close to the bar owner and take over the small bar, then do your best to set yourself up; send private messages to friends who interact with you and send you the WeChat public account QR code; interact with friends who have praised you and form a personal guard to show their support;

9. Drain traffic from SMS and EDM

From the beginning till now, I haven’t seen any personal subscription account send text messages to viewers - you can collect the mobile phones of your WeChat public account’s loyal fans, and send text messages to remind them to come back and read the content when there is useful information.

You can also ask your loyal fans to join your QQ mailbox list, and then they will receive emails reminding them to check back when there is useful information.

10. Draw traffic from paid channels

If you can’t drive traffic for free, spend the money on paid traffic wisely.

For example, if you post a task on a platform where water army takes orders, there will be a large number of newbies retweeting your article; if you buy high-end circle of friends projects on a platform where big Vs take orders, there will be a large number of big Vs retweeting your article.

Review: The so-called ten-way traffic diversion includes followers, WeChat and QQ, Weibo, columns, videos, pictures, classified information networks, Baidu Tieba, SMS and EDM, and paid traffic diversion, just to increase the number of followers of WeChat public accounts a little bit every day.

Step 4

Monetize with WeChat Official Account

Even if there aren't 100,000 reads, don't you want to collect some pocket money? Of course you do.

WeChat public account monetization is quite a great way to gain both fame and fortune:

1. Receive praise

There will always be people who know what's good. When you accumulate high-quality content, you will receive a lot of praise sooner or later.

2. Post advertisements

With 10,000 followers, you can activate the traffic master service. When your followers click on the ads below the article, you can make money without doing anything.

3. Sell soft articles

Register a self-media account on Weibo and you can be asked by the client to write soft articles.

4. Sell author-related products

Why is it author-relevant?

Because the author continuously accumulates high-quality content for his followers, of course the followers are more likely to buy into the author's account; at the same time, there are so many scammers these days that there are not enough fools. Is it really true that promoting products that have nothing to do with the author is not a trick for the client to distribute orders on Weibo? Why is Luoji Siwei better at selling books than selling stationery? Because Luo Zhenyu proves every day that he understands books, but has never proved that he understands stationery.

5. Sell author-related services

Why is it author-relevant?

Same with products.

When you have 100,000 followers, how many people buy your online/offline training?

6. Exchange resources

When you show your partners your WeChat public account which is full of useful information and has tens of thousands of readers, will it be easier for you to get cooperation opportunities?

Overview of the Second Street: If you want to sweep out self-media and network traffic in the early stages of your business, you have to

1. To handle the traffic of the entire network, open a WeChat public account;

2. Accumulate high-quality content on WeChat public accounts;

3. Drain traffic to WeChat public accounts;

4. Monetize through WeChat official account.

This is what is called full-network marketing and self-media transactions.

If starting a business relies on talking, then everyone licking lollipops on the street would be worth tens of millions; what's more, even with such fierce actual combat, one may not be able to survive. If it is not fierce, then survival is impossible at all.

So after sweeping the second street, we move on to the third one——

Sweeping the third street: offline traffic

Step 1

Set up a WeChat account to accept offline QR code scanning and adding friends

Why use a "WeChat stub" to take over?

1. As an app that occupies 2/3 of mobile phone usage time, WeChat has the lowest threshold.

2. At the same time, even if it is a small WeChat account, it is still a "living person". Compared with the mechanical WeChat public account, it shortens the psychological distance - if you decorate it a little bit, this living person will even have warmth.

Why is it added by "scanning the code"?

1. Do you think that offline audiences will patiently input a long string of characters, write a string of reasons for adding, and then click send, and then patiently wait for your application to be approved? Of course, the input of more than 6 characters can be simplified to a scan code action, which will reduce the decision threshold of offline audiences and the bounce rate caused by wrong input of numbers;

2. At the same time, let the offline audience selectively ignore themselves and add reasons for their psychological concerns about not being approved by the application - I'm not asking you to add me, it's you who put the QR code and asked me to add you, and I happen to have relevant needs, so just scan it.

How to "decorate" a WeChat account?

1. Post your first circle of friends right now, with the content like "I changed my account number, those who see this are the friends I care about the most", to prove that the small account is not a small account.

2. Prepare at least ten basic posts. You can post the following ten posts in one day since no one will check the time anyway - prove that you are a living person with a sense of life (5 posts), prove that you are not short of money (1 post), prove that you have helped your friends make money (1 post), and prove that you love the brand and products you promote (3 posts).

3. Then, according to the above ratio, make sure to eat at least one piece every day.

Step 2

Set up QR code scanning entrances offline to attract users to WeChat accounts

1. Attract people from the channel entrance

We need to use store resources to drain the channels. For example, in stores where free WiFi is available, you will be given the password only after you scan the QR code and add WeChat - the password will be provided by telling your WeChat personal introduction in advance.

For example, if a store holds a lottery, you will only be notified whether you have won a prize after leaving your phone number - and you can add WeChat by leaving your phone number.

If there are no store resources, you have to create store resources and then drain the channels. For example, you can teach store owners for free to build Youzan Mall, and then add your own products in the mall. For example, you can add a friend when you see a store recruiting, and let the store owner recommend customers to scan the code and follow you for a fee. For example, you can provide supermarkets with receipts with your WeChat QR code for free. For example, you can use online promotional resources in exchange for offline help in distributing flyers for you. Even when you go to the toilet, you have to stick your QR code on the squat toilet door.

2. Attract people from your network

Whenever you get a chance, ask your friends to recommend business cards that you think you need, and you can add them as friends. Put your personal WeChat on the back of your phone, and scan the QR code with each other during online meetings and offline gatherings. Work with local industry associations to organize meetings or free training, and promote QR codes at on-site events.

3. Attract people from the big V entrance

You can flatter the big V, for example, write a series of articles bragging about the big V, submit them to major news sources with your own WeChat account, and then find ways to add the big V WeChat as an admirer, share the articles to Moments and @ the big V, and then ask him to do things...

You can chat with big Vs and promote each other. If a big V has 100,000 followers, and you have two public accounts with 50,000 followers, try to chat with the big V on the two accounts and push them in exchange for the other party to push you on WeChat; if you only have 10,000 followers, try to chat with the big V and push him ten times in exchange for the other party to push you on WeChat once.

4. Attract customers from the product entrance

The QR code of the customer service WeChat account is hidden in all packaging and gifts; the QR code for contacting customer service for a free lottery is printed on all promotional materials.

5. Attract people from the media

There is a paradox in buying media: those who need media coverage the most are those who cannot afford it, while those who can afford it take the initiative to report.

Why do bikini girls have WeChat QR codes printed on their buttocks? Why do muscular men have QR codes printed on their chests and walk through the streets? Why do they flash mobs in front of newspapers and radio stations? It's all to attract media coverage.

Review: The so-called "five ways to attract people" are to attract people from channels, connections, influencers, products, and media.

Just to accumulate enough offline followers to monetize the WeChat account.

Step 3

Use WeChat accounts to monetize offline crowds. It's all in vain no matter where they lead them, after all, the numbers are there - as the saying goes, if the land is lost but the people are, both the people and the land are lost; if the land is lost but the people are still there, both the people and the land are gained.

Overview of the Third Street: If you want to sweep offline traffic in the early stages of your business, you have to:

1. Create a WeChat account to accept offline QR code scanning and adding friends

2. Set up QR code scanning entrances offline to attract users to WeChat accounts

3. Use WeChat secondary accounts to monetize offline crowds

Is street sweeping really hard, tiring and low-class?

The only way to survive is to fight fiercely.
