Wang Yaping, female, Han nationality, native of Yantai, Shandong, member of the Communist Party of China, master's degree. Born in January 1980, joined the army in August 1997, joined the party in May 2000, and is currently a first-class astronaut of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Astronaut Brigade with the rank of colonel. She was once the deputy commander of a regiment of a certain division of the Air Force Aviation Corps, flew safely for 1,567 hours, and was rated as a second-class pilot of the Air Force. In May 2010, she was selected as one of the second batch of astronauts in my country. In March 2012, she was selected as a backup astronaut for the Shenzhou 9 flight mission. In June 2013, she carried out the Shenzhou 10 flight mission. In July of the same year, she was awarded the honorary title of "Hero Astronaut" by the CPC Central Committee, the State Council, and the Central Military Commission, and was awarded the "Third-Class Space Merit Medal". In December 2019, she was selected as a member of the Shenzhou 13 flight mission crew.
