Why am I me and you are you? Why are there no two exactly alike people in the world?

Why am I me and you are you? Why are there no two exactly alike people in the world?

Why am I me and you are you? This is a philosophical question as well as a scientific one.

From a scientific point of view, all our thoughts originate from the activities of the brain, and all our feelings also originate from the brain's feedback to the information received by the body. However, whether thinking is equivalent to consciousness is still a controversial issue. The core of the controversy lies in that if consciousness originates from the brain, then why has there been countless brains for millions of years, but my consciousness can only be born in this specific brain? Why is everyone different? Yes, there are no two exactly the same people in this world, never, never in the past, and never in the future. Of course, the sameness mentioned here includes appearance, but not only appearance.

Identical twins are the most similar people in the world, but there are still differences between them.

Although to outsiders, two twins may look exactly the same, but people who are familiar with them can tell them apart at once, because their seemingly identical appearances actually hide tiny differences. This is only in terms of appearance. If you look at the whole body, the difference is huge. Their internal organs are not the same, and the tissue structures that make up the internal organs are also different. The cells that aggregate into body tissues are also different. Of course, the biggest difference is that they have different ways of thinking and completely different consciousness. I am me, and you are you. So why don't there are two exactly the same people in the world? This requires a deeper analysis.

What are humans made of? Cells, of course. Countless liver cells form liver tissue in a specific way, and liver tissue further forms the liver.

This is just one example. All organs and tissues inside and outside the human body are formed in this way. It seems that cells are the basic unit of the human body, but this is not the case. If the basic structure of the body is just cells, then they cannot form a whole. To form a highly complex life form like a human, each cell must know what it should do, and it is the genome that guides the cell to complete its mission. The genome is an organism that is composed of genes and various substances, and genes are composed of DNA. We are more familiar with DNA. It is the double helix structure substance that we often see.

DNA is the real core of the human body. If cells are likened to hardware, then DNA is equivalent to software.

The genome formed by DNA tells cells what its mission is and what it should do and when. As long as all cells faithfully follow the instructions of DNA, all tissues and organs will be formed naturally, and an intelligent life will be born. The genome composed of DNA is a very complex system, involving billions of genes. The gene sequencing we usually hear about is an attempt to figure out the order of genes. Why do we need to figure out the sequence of the genome? Because different sequences have different intrinsic meanings, which determine the differences between people.

Genes are the true core of a person. It can even be said that genes are the true "me".

We always think that we are the masters of our bodies and genes are just some codes in our bodies, but is this really the case? In fact, we are just executing the orders of genes. When you are hungry, have you ever wondered why you are hungry? Is it because you haven't eaten for too long? This is not the essential reason. Sometimes we don't feel hungry even if we don't eat for a whole day. The reason why we feel hungry is because genes tell us that it's time to replenish energy. Similarly, when we are attracted to the opposite sex, have you ever wondered why you are interested in her? In fact, it's still genes. Genes need to be passed on, and we are just the tools for them to achieve this.

Genes not only determine our physical appearance and physical health, but also our thoughts and feelings.

If the human body is regarded as a system, then what we call "consciousness" is actually just the executor of this system, and genes are the decision makers. Genes make us feel good about a person or a thing. As for where this good feeling comes from, we don't think about it at all. We only know that the good feeling has arisen, and now I have to find a way to get this person or this thing. Obviously, we are working for genes. Since genes are the dominant factor, and no two people in the world can have exactly the same genome, it is naturally impossible for two people in the world to be exactly the same. If the universe is the ultimate mystery of this world outside the human body, then genes are the ultimate mystery of this world inside the human body. It's just that human beings' understanding of genes is just like their understanding of the universe, which is still superficial.
