This place is much more interesting than Pandora...

Tadpole Jun guessed that the most exciting thing for movie and science fiction fans this week is that "Avatar 2" finally released its first official trailer!!!

Looking back 13 years ago, Avatar was released. As soon as the movie came out, it set off a wave of viewing and discussion around the world. The beautiful planet Pandora, the magical motion capture, the spectacular use of 3D technology... all made the audience at that time amazed.

Not surprisingly, "Avatar" has won the favor of major world-renowned film awards: Oscars, Golden Globe Awards, British Academy Film Awards, Broadcast Film Critics Association, Visual Effects Guild Awards... At the same time, the film also took in nearly 2.8 billion US dollars in the global box office, successfully becoming the world's single-film box office champion in film history!

The "Avatar 2" trailer released this time allows everyone to see many familiar scenes. In addition to Pandora and the Na'vi, there is also an unpredictable underwater world.

The plot continues from the first part: Several years later, the protagonist, who has become the leader of the Na'vi tribe, marries the Na'vi princess and lives a peaceful, stable and happy life on Pandora. But an accident occurs, and a suspected human avatar infiltrates the tribe, and they must fight for their family and survival again...

Avatar 2 is named Avatar: The Way of Water and will be released in the United States on December 16. It seems that this time, Cameron is going to take the audience back to Pandora to immerse themselves in exploring the mysterious "water world".

The ocean becomes the main scene of the story of "Avatar 2". In the film, the audience can follow the protagonist, appreciate various magical marine creatures, and travel in the mysterious ocean world.

The magnificent scenery of Pandora fascinates the audience and makes people curious. Humans also live on a "blue planet", so what will our underwater world look like?

In the United States, there is a marine biologist who breaks through the limits of physiology and technology, dives into the secrets of the earth, and greets strange creatures with the language of light. In this world that is wrongly described as "eternal darkness", there are "light shows" at all times. Dinoflagellates, corals, jellyfish, krill... and the giant squid that is mistakenly called the "Kraken" are all weaving the drama of life with the language of light.

James Cameron commented: "Weide remained optimistic in the face of difficulties and made groundbreaking research. She did what I dreamed of doing - luring the mysterious giant squid from the deep sea and taking pictures of it."

Ray Dalio, founder of Bridgewater Associates and author of Principles, said: "I have explored the deep sea and the wonderful life in the deep sea with Weed, which was a wonderful experience. Her book has many such fascinating stories. Highly recommended."

The New York Times Book Review commented: "It's gripping... With cheerful, precise, playful language and sparkling prose, Weed allows readers to see the deep sea that would otherwise be impossible to explore. On this watery planet, it is our responsibility as clumsy land dwellers to understand the ocean and remember everything we learn."

She is our protagonist in this issue: Edith Weed, a PhD in neurobiology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, oceanographer, marine biologist, co-founder of the Ocean Research and Conservation Association (ORCA), and winner of the MacArthur "Genius" Award.

Edith Weed dreamed of becoming a marine biologist since she was a child. An accidental temporary blindness gave her a special feeling for light. Over the past 50 years, she has become more and more fascinated by the mysterious light flashing in the depths of the ocean, returning to the deep sea again and again to solve the mystery of bioluminescence.

What does light mean in the deep sea where sunlight cannot reach? In the darkness without shelter, how do creatures escape from their predators and attract mates? How do those marine creatures that we have never heard of survive through the language of light? You can find the answers to these questions in "Light in the Deep Sea: A Life Journey to Explore the Mystery of Bioluminescence".

"The ocean is a magical place, full of breathtaking light shows, strange and amazing creatures, alien life forms that you don't have to travel to another planet to witness," Edith said in his TED Talk. "But if you do take the plunge, remember to turn off the lights. But I warn you, it's addictive."
