Letter from CDC officials to people who have not been vaccinated against the new coronavirus

Dear People,

Hello! In recent months, some provinces and cities have experienced multiple impacts of the COVID-19 epidemic. People who have experienced strict community travel restrictions, frequent nucleic acid testing, and suspension of work and classes may never forget those tormenting years.

We often say that when facing viruses, prevention is the priority. In the final analysis, epidemic prevention and control can be summed up in three sentences: "eliminate the source of infection, cut off the route of transmission, and protect susceptible populations." It can be said that everyone is generally susceptible to the new coronavirus, so everyone is a susceptible population that we need to protect.

How to protect? One important point is to rely on the general public to voluntarily get vaccinated against the new coronavirus. Our vaccination strategy has always been based on the principle of informed consent. It is true that our vaccination against the new coronavirus has achieved certain results, but every time we see the ups and downs of the epidemic situation and hear that so many unvaccinated elderly people have died in the Hong Kong epidemic, we think that there are still vulnerable people who have not been vaccinated against the new coronavirus who are exposed to risks. As epidemic prevention and control personnel, we are really anxious!

You may think it doesn't matter, since there are so many people playing anyway, one more or one less won't make much difference, and you won't be so "lucky" to get hit;

You may feel that you are too busy with work and cannot spare the time to get vaccinated;

You may think that you have an underlying disease and are not suitable for the new coronavirus vaccine.

........

However, the "enemy" we face is becoming more and more cunning. After several generations of mutations, the transmission ability of the new coronavirus is several times that of previous strains, and its transmission methods are more diverse, and it can even be transmitted through the surface of objects. The virus also knows how to "keep pace with the times" and it is trying every means to find loopholes.

There is no luck in the face of the virus. It doesn't care how busy we are at work, how we are doing, or whether we have underlying diseases. Before experiencing the epidemic, no one thought that it would suddenly befall us and develop so rapidly.

Once we are infected, vaccination will no longer help.

The most important thing is that we must stay ahead of the virus, get vaccinated against the new coronavirus in advance, and build immunity in the body in advance. In this way, even if the virus invades, our bodies can respond quickly and build an immune defense line in time to block the "enemy" and not give the virus the opportunity to wreak havoc in the body.

Therefore, please give your health a chance, be patient with the chattering vaccine propagandists, and respond to all the epidemic prevention and control personnel who care about you.

Whether you come or not, we will always be waiting for you at the vaccination post until we defeat the epidemic and spring comes!

It is necessary for the elderly to get vaccinated! A large amount of research data related to deaths caused by the new coronavirus shows that

Older people must get the COVID-19 vaccine.

However, many elderly people still believe that

I'm over 80 years old, why should I get vaccinated?

So,

Why should older people get vaccinated?

Can elderly people with underlying diseases get vaccinated?
