Remote control of PC is not a dream, Intel launches remote control application

Technology is meant to make people's lives more and more convenient. Recently, Intel launched an application called Remote Keyboard, which allows people to easily control Compute Stick and NUC mini PCs using smartphones.

The functions and usage of Remote Keyboard are very simple. After installing the corresponding client on the PC, Remote Keyboard can automatically find the PC via Wi-Fi, and then scan the QR code for pairing. After pairing, the phone interface will display a full-size Windows keyboard and a touchpad that supports multi-point operation. It can recognize operations such as two-finger swipe down, and use your thumb to slide the scroll bar on the edge of the screen to turn the page. In landscape mode, the virtual full keyboard will be hidden when touching, and will only pop up when the finger leaves the screen. Generally speaking, Remote Keyboard is quite sensitive as a touchpad, and users can also adjust the touchpad speed in Windows.

However, there are areas that need improvement in Remote Keyboard. First, it takes some time to reconnect after temporarily exiting or locking the screen. Second, the app is a bit too simple in terms of functionality, lacking many practical functions such as quick application launch and multimedia control that are available in similar products. Finally, since the virtual keyboard is built into the app, voice input is not available.

It is reported that Remote Keyboard supports Windows 7 and above operating systems. Currently, its Android version has been listed on Google and can be downloaded for free, and the iOS version will follow soon.
