First of all, if the food you cook is to be eaten, you must choose qualified kitchen utensils for food contact. But none of the 8 sets of mini kitchen utensils we bought had the words or logo of "for food contact".

This is the only model with a product certificate because the induction cooker in it shows on the packaging that it complies with relevant electrical appliance standards.

"Fake stainless steel"

Then, we sent the metal kitchen utensils from the 8 mini kitchen utensils to the Dad's laboratory for testing. The experimenter used an XRF scanner and a handheld X-ray fluorescence spectrometer to determine the stainless steel grade of the samples to see if they were food contact materials.

The results showed that only 3 of them were made of 410 stainless steel, which can be used as food contact materials. However, the other 5 instruments showed "mismatch", which means that these kitchen utensils with "mismatch" were made of fake stainless steel and did not meet the standards for food contact materials.

The typical characteristics of these fake stainless steels are low nickel, low chromium and high manganese. They have poor corrosion resistance and are easy to rust. They are not suitable for processing acidic or alkaline foods.

Internet celebrity kitchenware? Three no products!
