Stop it! If these parts of your body are too clean, you are harming yourself!

Stop it! If these parts of your body are too clean, you are harming yourself!

We have been taught since childhood

Be hygienic and polite

Poor hygiene does breed disease

So many people love cleanliness.

Even some minor cleanliness freaks

Hygiene is of course a good thing

But some organs

There's no need to be too clean.

Excessive pursuit of cleanliness is actually harming yourself

Some areas that should be paid more attention to

Instead, many people ignore

Dirt is quietly rising

Which ones should be cleaned?

Which ones should be left alone?

Finished today

Don't make the mistake again.

Skin needs gentleness

What skin do we mean here? From head to toe.

Here’s a little-known fact you may not know: the skin is actually the largest organ in the human body.

At the same time, it is also the first barrier between the human body and the outside world . It can "shrink" internally and resist various physical and chemical stimuli externally.

As the saying goes, "We need both face and substance", and skin is our "face".

In order to be clean or more beautiful, many people are very ruthless about their "face".

Some people particularly like to exfoliate their faces. Although the skin looks white and tender in a short period of time, the stratum corneum is actually very thin at this time.

Although the skin is not so fragile that it can be blown away, it will turn red or even swollen if it is slightly stimulated, such as cold or allergies, and become sensitive skin.

Some people try to rub out more mud when taking a bath, thinking that this is the only way to be clean.

But excessive rubbing of mud actually strips away the armor of the skin.

Therefore, whether you are washing your face or taking a bath, there is no need to over-clean.

Be sure to control your excited heart and trembling hands, and pay attention to the frequency and strength. The first priority of all skin care is to avoid damaging the skin's barrier function.

Don't dig the ear canal

A certain amount of earwax will spontaneously be produced in the ear, which is medically called cerumen .

Some people use an ear pick or cotton swab to clean them from time to time, but there is actually no need to clean them frequently.

Because the ears have self-cleaning functions , when we eat, talk or even yawn, earwax can often be discharged by itself as the mandibular joint moves and body position changes.

In addition, earwax is not completely useless. It can maintain a weakly acidic environment in the ear canal and inhibit the proliferation of bacteria.

If you clean it too clean, it will give microorganisms an opportunity to invade.

But there is one situation that you need to pay attention to, which is oily earwax.

Because of its sticky texture and not easy to eliminate by yourself, it may block the ear canal. When it affects hearing or causes tinnitus, you still need to go to the ENT department of the hospital for a deep cleaning in time.

Don't pick your nose often

When we breathe, the nasal cavity helps us moisten and initially filter the air.

But when the air quality is poor, the nose is prone to itching, and many people can't help but pick their noses. Of course, it is not ruled out that some people are habitual nose pickers.

But when picking your nose, your nails can easily damage the nasal mucosa.

Under the mucosa is a rich network of capillaries. If the injury is a little deeper, nosebleed will occur.

If you want to clean your nasal cavity, you can wipe it gently with a soft wet tissue or handkerchief.

For patients with rhinitis or nasal congestion, nasal irrigation is also an option worth considering.

No need to bathe the intestines

Many people believe that the intestines are full of garbage and that they should be cleaned regularly.

It seems that as long as the intestines are cleaned thoroughly, you can eat well, sleep well and feel healthy.

However, under normal circumstances, we do not need to clean our intestines.

Because in addition to excrement in our intestines, there are some friends that are very important to health - intestinal flora.

If you clean it too thoroughly, it will destroy the normal flora in the intestines.

The intestinal flora should synthesize some necessary amino acids and vitamins for us, participate in nutrient metabolism, and promote the absorption of trace elements.

But if it is cleared, it will cause gastrointestinal dysfunction, not only affecting digestion and absorption, but intestinal flora imbalance will also cause severe vomiting or diarrhea.

Only in a few cases does the intestine need special cleaning -

For example, before gastrointestinal surgery, intestinal preparation is required. The doctor will use suppositories or enema to clean the contents of the intestinal cavity to facilitate the surgery.

This cleaning is only temporary and will not seriously damage the intestinal flora.

So, don't bathe your intestines blindly.

Having said that, there are places that are over-cleaned. There are also some places that are often not cleaned enough.

Areas that are easy to miss when cleaning

The first thing you probably wouldn’t think of is your hairline.

After using facial cleanser, some foam may remain in the hairline area.

Over time, the foam particles will clog the pores and cause skin diseases such as acne and pimples.

Secondly, the auricle is also a place where dirt and grime can easily accumulate.

The auricle is divided into two main concave areas by the arc-shaped bulge in the middle. The front one is called the concha and the back one is called the scaphoid.

Since they are on the side of the face and are not easy to clean directly when washing your face, they will hide some dirt. You can clean them together when taking a shower.

so

For the skin, ear canal, nasal cavity, and intestines

Don't over-clean.

They're cleaner than you think

If you really love cleanliness

Pay more attention to the hairline area and earlobes.
