What are these stars "eating"? Hubble has the answer

The starry sky is mysterious, beautiful, and out of reach. The universe is vast. Through telescopes, scientists have seen the farthest point at 46 billion light years. As time goes by, the celestial bodies in the universe are also expanding outward. On April 24, 1990, the United States successfully launched the Hubble Space Telescope.

The Hubble telescope is operating in the universe with a mission and has taken many photos of the universe, which allows us to see part of the universe more clearly. Recently, the Hubble telescope has made new discoveries. It has sent back something that shocked scientists from the depths of the universe.

It turns out that in 1995, the Hubble telescope took an interstellar image that looked like several upright pillars. These "pillars" are very huge, and scientists predict that the pillars are 5 light years high. However, recently these "pillars" have undergone new changes. They are collapsing. What is going on?

These pillars are called the "Pillars of Creation" and are located in the Eagle Nebula. The Eagle Nebula is more than 7,000 light years away from the solar system. Why can we observe it even though it is so far away? It turns out that there are more than 1,000 stars in this nebula, and the "Pillars of Creation" are located in the center of this nebula, so it looks extremely shocking.

So what caused it to change?

Scientists speculate that it is because of these more than 1,000 stars that the "Pillars of Creation" changed and collapsed. As we all know, the temperature inside stars is very high, reaching more than 10 million degrees Celsius. Because of the intense nuclear fusion reaction that has been taking place inside, we can see that they are very bright. If you look up at the sky on a clear night, there are about 6,000 stars that can be seen with the naked eye.

When the stars in the Eagle Nebula shine, they need to absorb energy, which of course is locally sourced, absorbed from the nebula gas. After the "Pillars of Creation" are "eaten" of energy, they will naturally be affected. This is really the success or failure of the stars.

The universe is full of mysteries. Perhaps when humans develop to a higher level, these nebulae will become fuel for our flight, and we can make good use of this energy. The collapse of the "Pillars of Creation" is a matter of time, but we can't wait until then. What do you think about the "Pillars of Creation" being eaten up bit by bit by stars?
