Turning starch into gasoline, this black technology allows breathing to provide raw materials for gasoline

From starch to gasoline, the Chinese Academy of Sciences' cutting-edge technology allows even breathing to provide raw materials for gasoline!

Last September, the synthesis of starch from carbon dioxide caused a sensation in the world. This has great significance for human food security, extraterrestrial exploration, etc. It can not only solve the problem of carbon emissions and the food crisis, but also open a new channel for exploring the universe. It is simply amazing.

Recently, carbon dioxide has become famous again. The Chinese Academy of Sciences used black technology to successfully turn carbon dioxide into gasoline. After testing, it was found that the gasoline produced in this way fully met the National VI standard. Currently, mass production equipment has been built.

This is really great news for the current rising oil prices.

In 2016, Nobel Prize winner George Euler used a ruthenium-based catalyst to convert carbon dioxide into methanol. The Stanford research team also converted carbon dioxide into butane. However, our Chinese Academy of Sciences went one step further and directly converted carbon dioxide into gasoline, with a conversion rate of up to 95%.

This is gasoline synthesized from carbon dioxide and hydrogen. As we all know, the global greenhouse effect is caused by excessive carbon dioxide emissions, so carbon dioxide is everywhere. Hydrogen can be obtained by electrolyzing water with direct current. However, the energy consumed by this technology to produce gasoline is actually greater than the energy released by the combustion of these gasoline. This is its biggest drawback, so for other countries, there is little motivation for this research. But for our country, it is our advantage, and only in China can we maximize its value.

Fundamentally, it uses electricity to produce oil. If it occupies electricity for factories or people's livelihood, then this technology will be meaningless, so the source of electricity is very important.

In 2020, nearly 20 billion kWh of wind power was abandoned across the country, almost one-fifth of the total annual power generation of the Three Gorges Dam. The reason for the abandonment is that at 3 a.m., basically no one uses electricity. If the electricity is to be stored, the cost is too high with current technology and it is not cost-effective.

But now that we have the technology to produce gasoline by hydrogenating carbon dioxide, all the wind power and photovoltaic power that would have been abandoned can be utilized.

The editor believes that once this research by the Chinese Academy of Sciences is popularized, it will be of great significance. Interesting netizens believe that there will be no useless people in the future, after all, breathing can provide raw materials for gasoline. Not only can it turn carbon dioxide into treasure, "artificial gasoline" can also drive a new round of energy technology revolution. What do you think about this?
