9 Things Cancer Cells Fear the Most, Be Sure to Do Them More Often! Save Them Now

When it comes to cancer, many people are frightened and think that cancer is related to potential factors in our body and cannot be prevented.

But in fact, many times cancer is caused by an unhealthy lifestyle. These unhealthy lifestyles that may lead to cancer include:

Unbalanced diet, overweight or obesity, lack of sleep, lack of exercise, smoking, drinking, insufficient sun exposure, love of processed meat, love of sweets, etc.

Today, let us adjust our lifestyle and take the first step to prevent cancer.

01

Maintain a balanced diet

Eating a balanced diet is a key way to keep your cells healthy and reduce your risk of cancer by:

Eat more foods rich in vitamin C to prevent various cancers

This is because vitamin C has strong antioxidant properties and can inhibit the growth of cancer cells and enhance the body's immunity.

In recent years, scholars at home and abroad have paid extensive attention to scientific research on the use of large doses of vitamin C to treat cancers including pancreatic cancer, gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, liver cancer, lung cancer, ovarian cancer, cervical cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, thyroid cancer, brain glioma, leukemia, lymphoma, melanoma, etc.

Foods rich in vitamin C are mainly fresh fruits and vegetables . Generally speaking, the content of vitamin C in vegetables is greater than that in fruits. When eating fruits, try to eat the whole fruit and use less juice and vitamin supplements as a substitute .

Eat more foods rich in dietary fiber to prevent colon cancer and breast cancer

This is because dietary fiber can promote the formation of feces, and after the carcinogens in the colon are excreted with feces, they can inhibit the growth of cancer cells. And dietary fiber can also prevent breast cancer by binding estrogen and reducing the reabsorption of estrogen by the colon.

Foods rich in dietary fiber include: whole grains, beans, mushrooms, fruits and vegetables, potatoes, nuts and seeds .

Dietary fiber is best obtained from natural foods, but more is not necessarily better. If you consume too much, it will affect the body's absorption of minerals.

Eat more calcium-rich foods to prevent colon and rectal cancer

This is because bile acid and free fatty acids in the large intestine can stimulate excessive proliferation of large intestine epithelial cells and cause colorectal cancer, while calcium can combine with bile acid and free fatty acids to reduce the risk of colorectal cancer.

Foods rich in calcium include: dairy products such as milk, yogurt, and cheese, soy products such as tofu, dried tofu, and bean skin, and green leafy vegetables such as pakchoy, broccoli, and rapeseed .

Eat more cruciferous vegetables and foods rich in carotene and lycopene to prevent various cancers

We can eat more cruciferous vegetables (including cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, various types of cabbage, Chinese cabbage, Chinese cabbage, rapeseed, mustard, kale, white radish, green radish, water radish, celery, shepherd's purse, arugula, etc.) and lily vegetables (garlic, green onions, onions, leeks, etc.) to prevent various cancers including bladder cancer, lung cancer, stomach cancer, colorectal cancer, breast cancer, and prostate cancer.

Eat more foods rich in carotene (orange-yellow fruits and vegetables such as carrots, pumpkin, mango, corn, oranges, and dark green leafy vegetables such as spinach and amaranth) to prevent breast cancer.

Eat more foods rich in lycopene (tomatoes, watermelon, grapefruit, guava, etc.) to prevent prostate cancer, oral cancer, esophageal cancer, oral cancer, stomach cancer, colorectal cancer and lung cancer.

02

Maintaining a healthy weight

The World Health Organization has identified obesity as a chronic disease and considered it the root of all diseases. Studies have shown that obesity can shorten a person's life by an average of eight years and lay the foundation for the risk of various cancers.

Maintaining a healthy weight reduces the risk of 11 different cancers, including cancers of the colon, throat, pancreas, liver, kidney, breast (after menopause), stomach, uterus, ovaries, advanced prostate, and gallbladder.

You can use the following two indicators to evaluate whether you are fat or not:

Body Mass Index (BMI)

The "Guidelines for the Prevention and Control of Overweight and Obesity in Chinese Adults (2021)" issued by the National Health Commission of my country stipulates that the weight classification standards for Chinese adults are as follows:

1. BMI < 18.5 kg/㎡ means underweight;

2. BMI between 18.5 and 23.9 kg/㎡ is considered normal weight;

3. BMI between 24 and 27.9 kg/㎡ is considered overweight;

4. BMI ≥ 28 kg/㎡ is considered obese.

Note: BMI=weight/height² (kg/㎡).

Currently, obesity has been defined by the World Health Organization as the world's largest chronic disease. It is a systemic disease that can cause a variety of diseases and complications and lay the hidden dangers for a variety of cancers. If your body mass index has reached the level of obesity, you may need to pay attention to controlling your weight.

waistline

Use a soft tape measure to press against the skin 1 cm above the belly button and wrap it around horizontally to get the length.

If the waist circumference of an adult male exceeds 85 cm and that of an adult female exceeds 80 cm, then the waist circumference is over the standard and needs to be controlled.

03

Get enough sleep

Good sleeping habits are very important for us. If we sleep well at night, we will be energetic the next day. People with sleep disorders have a significantly higher risk of all types of cancer than those without sleep disorders.

This is because the pineal gland automatically releases melatonin after the human body falls asleep. Melatonin has been shown to reduce cancer progression through a variety of different biological pathways. A good night's sleep can also effectively prevent cancer and prolong life.

How much sleep a person needs every day varies from person to person . As long as you feel you have enough sleep and are energetic, it's fine. If you feel that you don't sleep well, don't take it lightly. Make adjustments in time. When your sleep improves, your body will definitely get better and better.

04

Ensure adequate exercise

Exercise helps maintain healthy hormone levels and enhance immunity. People who exercise regularly reduce the risk of 13 different cancers. Even for patients who have been diagnosed with cancer, exercise can reduce the chances of metastasis or recurrence, death, and prolong survival.

The type of exercise is not important, as long as you move, it is good for your body, walking, running, climbing stairs, mountain climbing, playing ball, boxing, weightlifting, cleaning, cooking, and organizing clothes are all good. The key is to avoid sitting or lying down for long periods of time.

05

Quitting smoking

Data from the World Health Organization shows that tobacco use kills 8 million people worldwide each year, and 90% of lung cancer is related to smoking . Currently, there are more than 300 million smokers in China, and the number of people who die from lung cancer each year is more than the total number of breast cancer, colon cancer and prostate cancer.

Smoking is also a major cause of nasopharyngeal cancer . This is because tobacco tar contains a variety of carcinogens and cancer-promoting substances. These carcinogens may attach to the nasopharynx and induce cancer through long-term chronic stimulation.

Other smoking-related cancers include: vocal cord, esophageal, liver, pancreas, stomach, kidney, ovarian, bladder, colon and cervical cancer, and breast cancer.

The moment you quit smoking, your body begins to change...

24 hours after quitting smoking, the chances of having a heart attack are reduced;

After 3 days of quitting smoking, respiratory function improved significantly;

After 3 months of quitting smoking, average lung capacity increased;

After 12 months of quitting smoking, the risk of cardiovascular disease is halved;

After quitting smoking for 5 years, the risk of developing stomach cancer, oral cancer, pharyngeal cancer, esophageal cancer, and lung cancer is reduced by 50%;

After 15 years of quitting smoking, congratulations, your risk of cancer is almost the same as that of a non-smoker.

06

Stop drinking

The World Health Organization's International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) classified alcohol as a Class I carcinogen in 2007. Alcohol is harmful to the body systemically and is associated with almost all common cancers in the body. There are seven parts of the body that are most susceptible to alcohol-induced cell cancer: breast, rectum, colon, oropharynx, larynx, esophagus, and liver.

This is because when alcohol is metabolized in the body, it first turns into acetaldehyde, then into acetic acid, and then further into carbon dioxide and water, which are excreted from the body. When alcohol is converted into acetaldehyde in large quantities, if there is not enough acetaldehyde dehydrogenase to catalyze it, it will immediately decompose into acetic acid. The large amount of acetaldehyde generated will "mess up" the DNA of cells throughout the body, and the risk of cell cancer may be greatly increased.

Therefore, if you want to prevent cancer, start by putting down your glass.

07

Get enough sun

Studies have shown that people living in high latitudes are more likely to develop 15 different types of cancer, including breast cancer, lung cancer, lymphoma, pancreatic cancer and prostate cancer, than those living near the equator. The reason is that the sunshine hours in high latitudes are short and people there do not get enough sun exposure.

Proper sun exposure can prevent many types of cancer.

But sunbathing is also a technical job. If you do it wrong, it can lead to skin cancer. The time of sunbathing is very important. It is best to sunbathe before 10 am and after 4 pm , because the intensity of ultraviolet rays in the sun is low at this time, which is less harmful to the skin. In addition, try to sunbathe outdoors in fresh air, and don't sunbathe behind glass.

08

Eat less processed meat and eat red meat moderately

Red meat has a high fat content. Excessive intake can cause obesity, cardiovascular disease, tumors, etc.; eating a lot of processed meat that is pickled, smoked, and grilled can lead to stomach cancer and intestinal cancer.

But this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t eat any red meat at all!

Red meat is a natural food source of iron, zinc, and high-quality protein . You can eat a little red meat every day, controlling the amount to about 1 liang (50 grams) each time; you can also eat it 3 to 5 times a week, eating a little more each time, but don't eat too much at one time.

If you want to eat meat, it is recommended that you eat more "white meat" such as chicken and fish. The nutritional value is higher than red meat and it can also satisfy your cravings.

09

Eat less sugar

Sugar affects visceral fat, blood sugar levels, and inflammatory markers, all of which are associated with an increased risk of cancer. Long-term high sugar intake can lead to obesity and insulin resistance, endocrine disorders, and immune dysfunction, which can increase the risk of tumors. For patients with cancer, sugar is the favorite fuel for cancer cells.

What we should limit most is added sugar and refined sugar, but it doesn't mean we can't eat them at all. It's best to consume no more than 25 grams per day (a 330 ml can of Coke contains 35 grams of sugar).
