Are water-heated blankets and zoned control just a waste of money? How to choose an electric blanket?

It's the season again when getting up requires perseverance and going to bed requires courage.

Is there anything colder this winter than the bed you just laid down in?

The “winter magic weapon” electric blanket has become a hot commodity again. With so many types of electric blankets, how do you choose?

Professor V will help you analyze it~

In recent years, water-heated electric blankets and graphite electric blankets have become popular on the market. What are the differences between these new electric blankets and traditional electric blankets? Are they better?

① Generally, an electric blanket with electric heating wire is sufficient and can meet basic needs.

Look for double-helix electric blankets. Single-helix electric blankets are substandard products (many "non-standard" electric blankets on the market are of this type). Also, try the feel when buying. Those with neat and even wiring are more comfortable and safer to use.

② If your budget allows, you can consider a graphite electric blanket, which has good body feel, heats up quickly, and has low safety risks.

③ If you are afraid of dryness, a water-heated blanket is recommended. If you pay special attention to radiation and safety issues, a water-heated blanket with a pump is recommended. If you have a light sleep, a water-heated blanket without a pump is recommended.

If the power is too low, the electric blanket will heat up slowly and provide insufficient warmth, but the higher the power, the better. Too much power means more electricity consumption, which can easily lead to unnecessary waste.

It is recommended to choose the appropriate power according to the number of users.

Automatic power off, multi-level temperature control, zone adjustment, one-button mite removal, intelligent constant temperature...it is best to choose the fancy functions of the electric blanket according to your own needs.

Give priority to products with indicator lights, automatic power off, multi-speed temperature control, zone adjustment, intelligent timing and other functions. Functions such as intelligent constant temperature and one-button mite removal can be selected as needed.

Electric blankets fall within the scope of the National Compulsory Product Certification (CCC Certification) catalog. Don’t buy those without the CCC certification mark and product certificate!

Some merchants may illegally label their products, so it is recommended that you check the validity of the CCC certificate on the Certification and Accreditation Administration website before purchasing.

The power cord sheath that meets the standard requirements should generally be marked with trademarks , "CCC" , "2X0.5mm²" (nominal cross-sectional area), "300/300V" (rated voltage) and other information, and the switch line length must be 1.8 meters .

Don't choose an electric blanket with a power cord that is too thin! Once the current is too large, the power cord is prone to overheating, and there are risks of short circuit, leakage, and fire.

✔️Be careful to lay it flat and do not pile it up or make pleats. When using it, use the cloth rings and ropes on the four corners of the blanket to lay the electric blanket flat and fix it on the bed. Do not pile it up or make pleats, otherwise it will easily cause local overheating or damage the heating element, causing burns or fire.

✔️Do not put the electric blanket in direct contact with the human body. Put a sheet or thin blanket on the electric blanket to make sleeping more comfortable and avoid burns.

✔️The power-on time should not be too long. Generally, it is powered on for heating before going to bed, and the bed and bedding are warmed up before turning off the power before going to bed. It is not recommended to use it powered on all night.

✔️When the power is on, people should not leave. When going out, make sure the power is turned off.

✔️Be careful not to get the blanket wet. Avoid children wetting the bed and spilling water on the electric blanket, especially the electric blanket with heating wire and the electric blanket without pump, otherwise, it is easy to cause a fire.

Please note that electric heating wire electric blankets and pumpless electric blankets must not be immersed in water for washing or folded.

QB/T 2994-2020 "Electric Blankets, Electric Heating Pads and Electric Mattresses" requires that the safe use period of electric blankets is 6 years.

Electric blankets that are "overaged" have problems such as increased energy consumption and increased safety hazards, so it is best to replace them in a timely manner.
