Peng Lei: Worried about becoming an Internet antique

 

On August 27, the Internet Conference was held in Beijing, and Peng Lei, CEO of Alibaba Small and Micro Financial Services Group, held an on-site dialogue.

During the conversation, Peng Lei said that it would take another five years for mobile payment to become truly popular. Compared with the past and present, which she understood clearly, she was more anxious about the future and worried that Alipay would become an antique among Internet companies.

Peng Lei said that she started trying to use mobile payment without a wallet three or four years ago, and now she feels more and more comfortable without a wallet, but it will take another five years for mobile payment to be popularized to everyone.

Peng Lei said that just as users could not accept banks hundreds of years ago, users today may indeed have concerns about mobile payments, but mobile payments are a trend and popularization is only a matter of time.

2. Alipay is worried about becoming an antique.

Peng Lei said that compared with the present and the past, she is more worried about the future. The most terrifying thing is to stick to the old ways. Alipay is also worried that it will become an old-fashioned Internet company.

Peng said she has also been studying barrage videos and listening to her daughter’s favorite songs recently, hoping to understand what the post-00s wear and what songs they listen to.
