On September 23, the "2014 China International Information and Communication Exhibition" co-sponsored by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade was held in Beijing China International Exhibition Center. Han Yibing, Vice President of U-Pen, delivered a speech entitled "The Internet TV Industry is a Blue Ocean" at the conference, interpreting the current status of the Internet TV industry from multiple dimensions and introducing the future industrial layout of U-Pen in detail.

The Internet TV industry is already a blue ocean, and its explosive growth is unstoppable

Han Yibing believes that the research on the "Internet TV Industry Development White Paper" jointly released by Nielsen Netcom and Youpengpule proves that the development of the Internet TV industry is irreversible and is not far from a "blowout" development. At present, the environmental foundation for the development of Internet TV (including network transmission, hardware, content resources, CDN distribution technology, etc.) has matured, and the diversified TV services based on "high-definition large video TV screens" presented by Internet TV not only show rich innovation, but more importantly, contemporary people have higher demands for family, information, entertainment and life, and they are becoming more and more advanced.

If in the field of television, traditional television, even IPTV of telecommunication networks, and DVB of radio and television transmission are a communication ecology based on the development and growth of land culture, then Internet television (OTT TV) is a product of ocean civilization. Its new television ecology of openness, expansibility and abundance has become the most vivid part of contemporary life. The Internet television industry is a blue ocean.

Youpengpule is not a disruptor, but an industry promoter

Han Yibing stressed in his speech at the conference that as an "audience", they are no longer satisfied with "whatever you produce for me, I will consume" in front of the TV. "Audience" constantly contacts and challenges new media, and their desires are constantly rising. They want to choose freely, customize themselves, share in time, and actively participate in the interaction. Internet TV, as an emerging media form, is a "leap and sublimation" of the traditional TV media form.

Internet TV not only provides the possibility of "diversified consumer satisfaction", but also allows every family user to "connect" more and get more. These are simply "imaginations" in the traditional TV industry, but they are not a problem in the Internet TV ecosystem.

Strengthened supervision by radio and television is both an opportunity and a challenge for Youpengpule

After nearly three months of rectifying Internet TV and Internet boxes, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television is still clearing up the "hidden rules" in the industry. In this regard, Han Yibing said that the Internet TV industry has developed disorderly for several years, and the current national policies and regulations are being formulated and implemented. It should be said that it has played a good role in regulating the Internet TV industry and avoided various disorderly competitions. At present, Internet TV companies that are developing normally like Youpengpule are happy to see the country regulate the entire industry from a policy level.
