Regarding the current free hardware model of Internet companies, Chen Hailin believes that it will be combined with the existing model of traditional home appliance manufacturers to become the existence condition for more possibilities of the smart home industry. Regarding the basic problems of the entire smart home industry, Chen Hailin talked about that, first of all, the entire smart home industry has not achieved true interconnection and interoperability, which has led to the inability to solve problems such as data accumulation/data sharing; secondly, many smart hardware products do not have a good value positioning and value discrimination system, which will affect the establishment of the entire industry business model and the realization of user experience. Haier U+ advancing with the industry For the establishment of Haier U+ smart home open platform, most industry insiders believe that this is an attempt by Haier as a traditional home appliance manufacturer to transform to the Internet and continue to regain the original competitiveness of technology giants in the home appliance market. But in fact, putting aside this macro industry expectation, Haier U+ may not only seek an outlet for the smart home industry, but also realize the interconnection of more smart hardware products by establishing an open access platform for various home appliances. Instead, it hopes to realize the intelligent transformation of Haier's home appliances through the industry trend of smart home, enhance the interactivity and connectivity of its products, and collect feedback related data, and then better complete the iteration and upgrade of hardware products in the data sorting. Chen Hailin said that the first user positioning of Haier U+ open platform is not the end product users, but the partners and makers in the platform; product users are still unaware of the existence of Haier U+, and this is exactly what more smart hardware product manufacturers need to work together. Therefore, Haier hopes to position Haier U+ smart life open platform as a capability platform and resource platform. Compared with Xiaomi's smart home system construction with Xiaomi mobile phone as the control center, Chen Hailin introduced that there is no so-called "remote control" in Haier U+ open platform, but it plans to create a real smart home pattern of automation and automatic perception by realizing the connection and interconnection between devices. As for the cloud platform control construction envisioned by the industry, Chen Hailin believes that it lacks corresponding security and cannot be called a good solution. As the alliance continues to grow, the access to the Haier U+ platform will also become one of the issues that everyone is concerned about. At present, Haier said that there is no threshold problem, but platform-level partners and creative makers will become the mainstream. At the same time, if necessary, Haier U+ will also provide corresponding technical support and resource support for small and medium-sized enterprises.
