Video games are becoming more serious

As a new platform for displaying games, TV screens have always attracted much attention. As a force that cannot be ignored, players are also influencing the development of TV games bit by bit, and how to meet the needs of players has also made many game CPs rack their brains.

Liu Yudong, CEO of Jixiangniao, gave a view from the perspective of business management, believing that the depth of the game is crucial, but simple and easy-to-use games are more suitable for the tastes of the general public. In his opinion, games with simple operations are more in line with the needs of many players, but for the current TV games, most of the games with simple operations are casual games, which can no longer meet the needs of the current players, and the needs of players are also rising.

At present, Xiaoy Games CEO Jiang Jianwei prefers hardcore games, believing that game quality is crucial and high-end games can satisfy the tastes of hardcore game fans. Although hardcore gamers are not the only type of players, positioning hardcore is an important strategy for Xiaoy Games to enter the TV game market.

Different game CPs focus on the needs of different groups of people. It may be a wise choice to capture different types of people with their own games. Among the people who accept TV games, those born in the 1980s and 1990s account for a larger proportion, and the rising trend among those born in the 1995s and 2000s is the result of data statistics by Liang Feng, VP of Grape Games. These people have higher requirements for game quality.

For TV games, the types of players are diverse and tend to be younger, so the trend of game works developing towards heavier ones is an inevitable trend.

Hardware facilities and game types are key points

The influence of players on TV games cannot be underestimated, but the differences in hardware facilities and the number of game types also directly affect players' judgment of TV games.

As a peripheral developer, Cao Shuiping, general manager of Xinyou Interactive Open Platform, found that the current TV game hardware is uneven, and the operation complexity, compatibility and performance of different products are different. For the current large screen, most users do not use the handle to play games. Although the remote control can perform simple operations, the gaming experience is relatively poor.

Compared with peripheral operation, game types also affect players' judgment. For emerging TV games, the market has not yet determined which types can gain a foothold, giving developers a lot of room for choice, and players can also choose from more game types. However, most CPs now try casual games, resulting in TV games being linked to casual games, thus misleading players and affecting the development of TV games.

Payment is no longer the primary problem

Payment is one of the most frequently mentioned issues by many users. However, from the data provided by Jixiangniao, we can find that there are three types of TV games today: game consoles, open network TVs, and private network TVs. The payment rate of game consoles has reached 100%, and the charging method is relatively mature, while the payment link of open network TVs is not smooth, but there are many players, and most players are willing to pay. Game payment does not affect the appearance of games on TV big screens.

What games are suitable for large-screen TVs? Focusing on the needs of players, improving game quality, and focusing on game experience, only games that meet these conditions are more suitable for being recognized on large-screen TVs.
