The Passenger Car New Four Modernizations Index, jointly released by the Automobile Market Research Branch of the China Automobile Dealers Association (Passenger Car Market Information Joint Committee, referred to as the Passenger Car Market Information Joint Committee) and Shanghai Anluqin Enterprise Management Consulting Co., Ltd. (referred to as Anluqin), aims to regularly monitor the development progress of the new four modernizations in the domestic passenger car market and judge future development trends through historical data comparison. In March 2020, the new four modernizations index of passenger cars was 53.7 , a significant decrease from 57.2 in February 2020. Among them, the electrification index was 5.2 ; the intelligence index was 42.2 ; and the networking index was 25.3 . By retrospectively calculating the new four modernizations index of passenger cars starting from March 2019, we can see the trend changes of the new four modernizations index of passenger cars in the past 13 months. At present, the new four modernizations index of passenger cars has three sub-indices, namely electrification index , intelligence index and networking index . The electrification index in March 2020 was 5.2 , a slight decrease from February 2020. The intelligence index in March 2020 was 42.2 , a slight decrease from February 2020. The Internet of Things Index was 25.3 in March 2020, a certain percentage decrease compared with February 2020. The impact of the epidemic is still ongoing, but compared with the depression in February, the passenger car market as a whole has recovered slightly in March, and the new four modernizations index has also gradually returned to a relatively normal state. Except for the electrification index, other main indexes and sub-indexes have returned to the figures around the end of last year, indicating that the overall market demand has begun to return to normal, or at least has shown a certain degree of normality; and the electrification index, which reflects the sales of new energy vehicles, is in contrast to the downturn in the second half of last year, showing a better trend, indicating that new energy vehicles are relatively less affected by the epidemic. Even if the absolute sales volume still drops sharply, at least the market share remains at a relatively high level. At present, although the domestic epidemic situation has improved significantly, the resumption rate of the automobile industry has reached an extremely high level, and the overall economy has gradually recovered, combined with the various measures taken by governments at all levels to promote automobile consumption during this period, the willingness to consume automobiles that has been suppressed for nearly two months is expected to gradually recover, and the development of the new four modernizations will gradually tend to a normal development trend. At the same time, it should be noted that whether the recovery speed of the overall automobile industry chain affected by the epidemic can keep up with the gradual outbreak of demand is another challenge currently facing the industry. |
