Chrysler Pacifica hybrid version was reported to be discontinued

According to foreign media reports, FCA's Chrysler Pacifica hybrid version has resumed production after a brief suspension due to a diode failure.

Chrysler began a voluntary recall of 1,368 Pacifica vehicles in the United States and 309 in Canada on June 9. After the recall, the diodes in the vehicles were updated. Faulty diodes can easily reduce the propulsion of the vehicle. According to the news released on the FCA official website, a small number of car owners reported that the diodes in the car were faulty and caused the function to not work properly.

According to the Wall Street Journal, after discovering the problem, FCA immediately stopped production at the Windsor plant in Ontario, Canada, but according to internal sources at the plant, the plant resumed operation on June 19. FCA officials did not disclose whether the plant had a temporary shutdown.

FCA Canada spokesman Brad Horn said in an email Monday that "we have nothing else to add beyond what is posted on our website."

The Pacifica Hybrid version was delivered later than expected starting from the Spring Festival this year. It was planned to be delivered to dealers in early 2017, but FCA has not given a specific delivery date, and finally started delivery from April 17. Due to the later than expected delivery date, FCA will provide a Level 2 charger or a $500 Visa gift card to Canadian or American owners who booked before March 30.
