Kodiaq uses the second-generation MIB multimedia system, which has a high screen resolution, a very delicate display effect, and very smooth operation. The 5008 uses its own Blue-i in-car interconnection system, which can query news information, violation information, etc. in real time, and both cars support CarPlay. The air-conditioning operation panels of both cars are very simple and not messy. The volume adjustment knob of Kodiaq has a good texture, it is relatively tight when screwed, and the buttons below feel good. The physical buttons of 5008 are shaped like piano keys, exquisite and avant-garde. The black buttons in the lower row are all with rubber particles, which feel good.

In terms of power, both cars use a 1.8T turbocharged engine. The 5008 has more power, while the Kodiaq has more torque than the 5008. The Kodiaq uses the Volkswagen Group's 7-speed DCT dual-clutch transmission, while the 5008 uses a 6-speed manual transmission.

Overall, the two cars are quite close in terms of performance. Besides, there is no clear winner in this level of SUV models. They just have different positioning in some aspects to target different consumers. Kodiaq is more practical and pragmatic, while 5008 with cool exterior and interior design is more technological. If you are more pragmatic and think that good performance is really good, then Kodiaq may be more suitable for you. But if you are a person who cares about appearance and pursues high-tech configuration and luxury, 5008 will be more suitable. In short, there is no absolute good or bad between these two cars.
