Smart connected cars will become the next trend in the market. Can Netqin Link successfully promote traffic reform?

After the emergence of new energy vehicles led by Tesla, the traditional automobile market no longer seems to be so vibrant.

According to relevant information, after the Volkswagen "emissions scandal" was exposed, European countries became particularly sensitive to the issue of automobile emissions. For this reason, Germany passed a proposal to "ban the sale of traditional internal combustion engine vehicles by 2030" as early as 2016.

Moreover, after the G20 summit in 2017, the French Minister of Energy also publicly stated that in order for France to achieve the goal of carbon balance by 2050, France plans to completely ban cars powered by internal combustion engines from the road starting in 2040. Subsequently, the UK also announced on July 26 that it would ban the sale of diesel cars starting in 2040.

Under such circumstances, more and more countries have begun to announce that they will ban the sale of fuel vehicles in the future. From this point of view, perhaps the balance of victory has begun to tilt towards new energy vehicles.

And after the car's powertrain has been baptized by new energy, the more perfect "autonomous driving" technology may appear in the eyes of consumers.

Domestic intelligent connected vehicles face new developments

Today's traditional automobile industry has returned to the average profit level of the manufacturing industry, and this situation is particularly evident in China. Under the influence of weakening market demand and various policies, major automobile companies are under tremendous economic pressure. For this reason, today's traditional automobile companies must find new product changes.

To this end, NetQin held the "Intelligent Vehicle System Security Technology and Intelligent Transportation Transformation Seminar" in Beijing on July 28. At the seminar, dozens of relevant experts and industry insiders conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on key issues such as policies, technologies, and prospects in the field of intelligent vehicles.

At the conference, a relevant industry insider pointed out that although the corresponding regulations for intelligent transportation are still relatively weak in China, relevant departments have been actively promoting it. In his opinion, with the vigorous promotion of policies, there is huge room for the development of supporting infrastructure and traffic environment, making the popularization of new energy and unmanned driving possible.

And in fact this is indeed the case. Since June 2016, in order to further promote the maturity of autonomous driving technology, the country has established five national intelligent connected vehicle testing areas in Shanghai, Beijing, Chongqing, Hangzhou and Wuhan.

Subsequently, on June 13 this year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology also officially announced the "Passenger Vehicle Enterprise Fuel Consumption and New Energy Credit Management Measures (Draft)". The plan not only removed the previous "interim" wording, but also changed the "draft for comments" to "draft".

Perhaps, these measures from the government mean that the country's new smart car standard solution will be officially launched soon.

The automotive industry structure will face huge changes

As the government introduces a series of policies that will help the development of new smart cars, the future automotive industry will also face major changes in its industrial structure under the influence of smart cars.

On the one hand, with the advent of the era of smart cars, the added value of hardware manufacturing in the automotive industry will be greatly reduced, and manufacturers will transition to a competition between software and hardware in artificial intelligence with powerful computing power.

After that, the homogeneity crisis faced by the traditional automobile industry will change. By then, not only will the traditional automobile industry trigger industry competition in the smart car industry, but a large number of technology and Internet industries will also enter the market, jointly pushing the entire industry towards a healthy and sustainable development path.

On the other hand, with the development of mobile Internet, the current data charges are no longer a shackle for smart cars. To some extent, a series of Internet auras such as Roewe RX5 have emerged to provide consumers with sufficient data, opening the door to online OTA upgrades.

This online OTA update package download method can not only provide better services, but also provide a new solution for reducing after-sales service costs in the automotive aftermarket.

However, the future of smart cars is not all smooth sailing, and current smart cars also have problems that need to be solved urgently.

Especially in recent years, Tesla, as a milestone in automobile intelligence, has always been regarded as a special focus by cyber hackers and many security companies. Incidents of controlling vehicles by relying on system loopholes have been repeatedly confirmed, which has indeed made consumers feel a little distrustful of smart cars.

New security platform protects smart cars

Therefore, as the first Chinese mobile Internet service company to successfully list on the New York Stock Exchange, NetQin naturally pays special attention to the security of smart cars. NetQin Lingdong solves the security issues of connected cars by combining hardware and software.

Wang Hongming, marketing director of NetQin, also stated at the seminar that in the field of smart cars, a field with a development trend highly similar to that of smartphones, the entire smart car solution will be the most important part. For this reason, NetQin deliberately divides the system into many completely independent levels, making each level of the system independent and separating the permissions.

Not only that, the Lingdong platform uses a dedicated firewall, which can not only block any attack on the car's CAN network from the outside, but also prevent certain key functions of smart cars from being destroyed.

It can be seen that NetQin's development of the Lingdong platform conforms to the development trend of the automobile market. It not only provides sufficient conditions for more and more traditional automobile manufacturers to move towards intelligence, but also makes ordinary consumers have more confidence in the future of automobile intelligence.
