Sichuan Mustang won the lawsuit against Ford Mustang and changed its name to "Mustang"?

In February 2016, Sichuan Mustang Automobile Co., Ltd. sued Ford Motor (China) Co., Ltd. for trademark infringement, claiming that the Chinese name of a MUSTANG model (Ford Mustang) was the same as its own. It filed a lawsuit with the Chengdu Intermediate People's Court, demanding compensation of RMB 10 million.

After nearly two years of litigation, the Chengdu Intermediate People's Court ruled in favor of Sichuan Mustang Automobile Co., Ltd. From now on, Ford's sports car MUSTANG will no longer be able to call itself a Mustang. Its current name in China is the same as overseas, "MUSTANG".

Strong evidence shows that the "Yama" trademark was actually registered in China by Sichuan Yema Automobile as early as 1986, and subsequently applied for registration of multiple trademarks with the "Yama" logo or text. After Ford Mustang was officially introduced to China, its "Ford Yema" trademark application was filed on June 26, 2006.

After seeing the verdict, many fans felt sorry for Ford Mustang. So, what will the Chinese name of Ford Mustang be changed to? Will it be "Yema" or directly transliterated as "Mustang"?
